After working with Tesla's service.. I found that the trick to resetting the GPS.. and this is really strange but did solve the problem for me after several weeks of my GPS being way off the mark.. to solve this issue.. close all of the doors, go into your tesla app on your phone, turn off Sentry Mode, Lock all of the doors with the app, wait 5+ minutes, Unlock the door and start driving.. That's it... When I got back in the car after this very odd suggestion by their service team.. the car's position on the navigation jumped to my exact position shortly after starting the car back up and shifting into drive. It has been several days and still no issues.. I cannot believe that worked, but I'm not complaining.. I'm just happy to be able to use the car's navigation and FSD features again..
Must be loose connection as he suggest. Since they have all your data they should by also aware of your profession, they should guide you how to find it and fix.😉 Looking forward how it's end. Good luck👍
I deselected folding mirrors because I’ve never seen a need in Australia .....at least my environs. I go out of my way for shade in summer particularly.....or park with ac on @25C ~. I always assume that anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
[Fixed] - See bottom I have the same issue. Tesla service don't see it as a problem. The fact is the GPS is needed for alot of the safety features to work correctly. And you can't get to a supercharger safely. I have in talks with tesla for over 3 weeks with no solution. They simply did a reset and told me nothing is wrong with it. The issue was caused by an SSD in the glove box. It was interfering with the cars GPS wiring that runs behind the glove box
Mine is 30 miles away from its position. Apparently the GPS antenna location on a 2014 S is in the left side of the rear hatch. I have glass replacement due soon, just maybe I can get them to check the wiring while they're back there.
