Piping and Camping yep. I was about to use a long thin screw to try and twist it out when it popped out.

Well, that was a new one on me. Never had one fall apart like that before. It looks like that one was in worse condition than the ones I was up against.

Damn, my first smoke from my new Brigham pipe and my filter got stuck! It was stuck pretty bad, although it didn't break apart like this. I actually put a few squirts of WD40 down the stem and after pulling like crazy it came out in one piece, wheeeew.

Very interesting. Is there a certain amount of Oxi Clean to use per cup of water?

Herferville I have to admit I just eyeball it, but a couple of table spoons per cup is reasonable

Mine got stuck after only one smoke from a brand brand new Brigham pipe. Retailer suggested putting the stem in the freezer for a while to dry it out and try pulling it out again. Good smokers these pipes but a pain in the ass. I sent the pipe back, let the retailer either fix, replace or refund. I have no time for such nonsense.

Are the Brigham filters reusable or disposable like the Medico filters?

If you soak them in alchohol you can get a lot of the gunk out and reuse them if your inclined to do that. Let them dry out completely and use again. I wouldn't suggest doing that more than once.

Scott Stewart they were designed to be disposable, but you can do a few bowls on each one.
