EPIC Facebook Marketplace Find - 1932 Ford Roadster & 3 Window Coupe!!

One night while looking on Facebook, Matt found a listing for a 1932 Ford Roadster and 3 Window projects for sale in Columbia, SC. The listing was first posted in a 1932-34 Ford group after the poster went to an estate sale for tools and the family was looking to sell all of the car parts their father had. He had started with a rough 32 3 Window body, and eventually changed to a Brookville roadster body to speed the project up. The Roadster body is at a local body shop where they were in the process of doing a skim coat of filler and epoxy. After loading up the body, Matt and Mike head to the house to load up the chassis for the roadster and all of the parts. This estate was super organized and everything loaded up super easy! It would be great to see Iron Trap build that car (as a roadster or coupe). For all the assembly required, it looks to be in such good condition, compared to the cars you normally save. Rust free, straight panels - as distinct from the other vehicles you've rescued from the edge of the grave.

Wow, what a treasure trove. When I see these picks I always feel for whoever started the project and for whatever reason couldn't finish it. I'm 72 now and chipping away at a '40 Ford. I hope I get to finish it before I'm finished!!

Wow! Not only is that an amazing stash of parts in itself, but even the sheet metal and body panels are in good shape. Would be tempting to drop the roadster shell onto that frame, as they're both basically ready to go, but a part of me would love to see the three window shell pieced back together and mounted to the frame like the previous owner intended for that project.

Okay! One exciting thing took place, that would be the sound of a Milidon small block Chevy oil pan going "THUD" against the edge of the box truck floor while being pushed up the loading ramps, "Ouch?" I hope it's all right. Ha, these things happen, and all you can do is press on with a solution to the small problem. As always, muscles did the job, Ha ha! "TALK ABOUT A SCORE!" "HOLY MOLEY!" GEEZ, I think that you got yourself a great one for sure! WOW Matt, you look so frickin' happy bringing all of those parts out... but the gentleman that was letting all of his stuff go didn't look to awfully happy at all. It's sad when things change in a person's life where they need to give up on a dream. Anyway, great score Matt. Mike looked like he was really excited and enjoying himself too. Ok, back to the video to finish watching. I just had to write something before it was done. I'm about 2/3rds of the way through. Hope something else exciting happens next.

That's gotta be one of if not the best scores Matt and Mike has made given the condition of the stuff they got. Not a rusty item in the lot. It's almost to good a condition for the Trap. Morning Matt, Mike...I can't stand the whiners!! I think it's awesome that you have the resources to purchase all these parts & put them back in circulation!! This stuff is still around...Matt, watching your videos I have to say one thing, I am saying this from my own experience, please take care of your backs!! When I was wrenching I didn't, I had 3 back surgeries, had to make a career change at 40, but I have to admit the career change was for the better.... anyway y'all be safe!! God Bless!! I'm sure that everyone wants to see you build all of those excellent parts into a running and driving car. Leave the Chevy engine in it also, next time remember you can use short 2x4 wood blocks to get the front end over the wheel wells. That is how I loaded two vintage GTOs on a 43-foot trailer years ago, I had to get the front of the first GTO up on the deck to get both of them on the trailer so I could haul them.

People ask me all the time where do I find the trucks and stuff I have. I’m on a smaller level than you I like OBS fords but it’s out there ! I bought a rusty 90 f250 over there weekend for the 460 and while I was there the guy gave me a 26 model T frame front axle and rear the stuff still out there
