flair animals like field mice and such like antifreeze. they like sweet foods, unlike things that they can get in their own habitat. antifreeze has a very sweet smell and taste to them but kills them after a while

Sunflower seeds work really well for the quicksand idea because they float. I caught 9 in one night and 11 a couple days later. Just build a ramp/ladder and no planks

Coming from a farmers, use an eel trap and put stuff like seed and also bedding stuff for them like cotton. Rye grass seed works like a charm on regular traps as well, a little peanut butter to hold it in place

Rats and mice are actually super smart. They do have depth perception so the garden flakes allowed them to see the ground and it realized it drops off...with Flares they can't sense the drop and walked onto the trap door.

Flair you should also try the coffee can smeared with peanut butter with a dowel thru it mounted in pail. Works like a dream. Use in our hunting campers left in the woods year round.

Nothing works as good as the old rolling can trap. But it would be cool to see what other traps you guys can get to work. Try putting just an empty bucket in there with bread and peanut butter in it. Sometimes the mice will jump down in the bucket and they can't jump back out.

Bro I'm all for the "glamorous" look of an automatic rolling bed cover but trust me..... Don't mud, don't drive on a diet road and don't put anything dusty in your bed.. u get one small rock in that motor or track your screwed. I have a 16 platinum f150 with automatic running boards and I have had to replace the motor twice, I live on a gravel road and do truck things with my truck... I finally just shut them off so I basically don't have running boards cause I'm scared to "get them dirty" just a fair warning man.

Take a Tootsie roll, cut it in half, chew just enough to soften it, then mold it onto the bait pan of a classic mouse trap and set it. You talk about catching some mice. It works like magic.

On the quicksand one you could get rid of the 2 ramp pieces on top but leave the sides and just fill it up all the way to make it look like it solid all the way across and just put bait right in the middle.

Love it. We used a simulator thing with a ramp and a peanut butter jar on a spindle with a little peanut butter on the jar so when they jump in the jar it spins them in the bucket. "Wheel of death"

Austin should use sunflower seeds, shell on, instead of fertilizer. The sunflower seeds act as both the bait and the quick sand.

You should also try the peanut oil trap. You just put Pranut oil in a glass bowl and they slip in and you got em. Super simple.

reciprocate: one definition- do the same (in return)....your trap door has a reciprocating action. It trap doors em and returns to its original position. Like semi automatic firearms it reciprocates the slide returning to its OG position.

Use a 5 gallon bucket. 3/8 wood dowel, aluminum beer bottle, 30” ramp made out of wood as you used. Cut the dowel to fit across bucket perfectly. Drill holes into beer bottle center cap and bottom. Take a round file or Dremel tool to clean up holes and make sure they are round and smooth. Slide cut dowel through bottle and drill small hole then screw into dowel on each side of bucket maybe 1/2 down from lip. Place ramp on neck side of bottle on buckets edge. Put a huge glob of peanut butter around the center line of the middle of the bottle so as it spins there is always peanut butter up top. Fill bucket with 8 inches of water. Set and walk away. We would catch 10+ a night with one of these. Also work to limit food sources near by, such as grain etc by storing in sealable containers. Limit what they can eat and when they are starving they won’t resist the peanut butter coots light Ferris wheel of death....
