EXACTLY.....at 65 I feel like I'm 35....ZERO aches/pains.....on ZERO meds....and I donate blood every 65 days...they screen for low-iron / high bp ....have never been turned away AND I feel so good physically and mentally after donating! I've been plant-based since 2012. WORKS for me! and YES on the B12.....I take it every week!
@@rebeccaspratling2865 , haha, does being dead count as a severe illness? Cause I’ve been there done that. Cardiac arrest, coded, came back after 4 shocks from the ied and in ICU for a week. C'est la vie
My two most favorite health people in the same video! I could, and have, listened to Dr Greger for hours. Both Markus and Greger are both so enthusiastic that I hope people can actually listen and make some changes to their health.
You're fast becoming one of my favorite channels on YT. Your interviews are strong, energetic, and very informative. You choose your guests wisely. Greger is a god IMO
Dr. Greger is so inspirational in multiple ways. He even answers questions from RU-vid viewers on his treadmill to model the importance of exercise! No wonder he is so productive. He doesn't waste a minute.
I loved how at the end Markus thanked Dr. Gregor and Dr. Gregor thanked Markus. They both compliment the other and agree that they and others like them are all helping to change the health of the world. This is through different yet similar channels yet want the same end results for health. Great video, Markus and Dr. Gregor!
Lol what about vegan Keto? Just saying Keto in general is a plant based diet it's a myth about it being some sort of carnivor diet. Keep in mind that Keto isn't a diet per say it's your body switching fuels from Glucose to Fat this happens naturally from fasting for more than 3 days besides if you eat more than just a little meat on Kero will kick you out of Ketosis this is why it's plant based besides most of the saturated fat is coming from coconut oil, olive oil, avocado etc. Do some research and you'll find that grains are pretty unhealthy.
@Vitalijus Banelis HOW do you learn this, there is so much conflicting "science" from Dr's on various sides. Keto, Plant Based both claiming the scientific high ground ?
James Lovering 1. look at who sponsors some of these studies and if they’re industry funded they gotta go 2. look at the results of the studies in question, the specific results and compare I’d say both diets in general help you lose weight which is beneficial for overall health but the effects on the health can be quite different when comparing these two diets. Basic difference of wfpb vs keto is meat and other animal fats and of course carbs. So meat and animal fats are a pretty easy point to compare as it is not too hard to find evidence on the detrimental effect on e.g. heart health, diabetes, cancer risk etc which can clearly be isolated. So this is not where the advantage of keto lies (or if it is...have fun with that skinny casket). When it comes to carbs, I think this is where the comparison becomes a bit more interesting but difficult. As far as I know all blue zones have very starchy, carbohydrate rich diets. I’m sure there are, on the other hand many studies on low carb and keto but probably not as many who compare wfpb keto to wfpb including carbs. I do know of many studies proving beneficial effects of whole grains such as quinoa, oats and other whole grains which makes me a bit more biased into thinking that leaving something as healthy as that out of your meal plan maybe wouldn’t be the best way to go- but of course, just because I haven’t seen those studies doesn’t mean they don’t exist. All in all i can say I’ve read how not to die, I keep rereading certain chapters and some of the studies cited in the book. And i am kind of with him when he says in the video, shouldn’t the only diet proven to reverse heart disease, diabetes and high BP be the default diet?
@@justchilling704 The science indicates that refined oils, like coconut oils, are similarly a cause of heart disease. The lipids tend to aid lipolisois, marking you fat, and people consume more because the volumetric-calorie density is higher meaning per calorie satiety is lower. To produce ketone requires metabolism via the liver, increasing liver enzymes, and they tend acidifying the blood affecting your mineral absorption.
Love you both...you are such inspirations to people trying to be healthy, live long, and not be on medications. I have learned so much from you guys and I thank you a million times over for all your wisdom and thank you for sharing it on You Tube!
Thank you for all you do. I've been on a whole foods plant based diet for 8 months now and couldn't have intellectually stayed with it without your incredible drive to share this information, the real science. Thank you, and may you live a long long time :)
@@l.lalala3455 I actually saw Dr Greger on Oprah in the mid 90' for the first time, turned vegetarian around that time, then found his book called "Heart Failure: Diary of a Third-Year Medical Student" (published in 2000) found it in a library a view years later, ....this was the last push that made me vegan!
I'm blown away by how awesome this interview was! Thank you so much for posting this free information 😉 Now it just needs to catch on with the rest of the world!
Thank you for having an interview with Dr. Greger! The doctor is spot on. I was on diabetic medicine but got myself off because I made changes in my diet and include exercise.
Two of the funniest Health gurus on the same video! Fantastic! Loved the interview! I have been plant based for some time now and love it! So much easier to put together and no cooking needed unless you like it that way!
Markus, You have never shined more than you did in this interview. I have been telling people about you and Dr Greger for years, and it made me so happy to see the two of you together!!! Great interview!!!
I know, but I also wanted to hear what Dr. Greger thinks of cooked food. I LOVE lentils.... but would also like to go raw, to try and get rid of my Asthma.
🍋🍉🌶🍇🍅🍆 Markus , I just love how well of an interviewer you are. You always ask the obvious questions, the one's that you personally get asked all the time so that we can get the answers to those. No rock left un turned with you and that's why I have been watching for so long. Love to you and Cara! 🍏🍒😊💛🔥☀️
this is definitely something I will share. I watch a lot of Dr. Gregor interviews, but I think this one has to explain things in the most excellent way. Thanksso much. Also just discovering this channel and web site, so interesting.
Markus, I love that you refer to Dr. Greger as your hero-you BOTH are heroes to me! Such an awesome and uplifting convergence of my favorite resources! Thank you! Love you both!
Thank you my friend Markus for saving my life , you and Dr. Greger have taught me so much that started a craving to know more . It has drastically change me physically mentally spiritually in the past 7 years
Dr Trevor convinced me to go plant based Because of your work Ive helped my daughter, granddaughter , husband and brother to change to a plant based diet. Thank you so much for your research!. Love Markus and Dr Gregor. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Markus for booking this interview 🙏🏻 Much love to you and Cara! Always inspired and motivated to stay healthy because of you two 😇😇 (and Dr. Greger too)
This guy must have Asperger's because he's absolute GENIUS, he works like a machine! Best nerd I've seen! Hehehehe. He's so great! This is the first video that I watch of his that truly impressed me!
He's far too emotional to be an aspie, he definitely has a good sense of humor which by definition, aspies aren't capable of having, which is unfortunate. He's brilliant though, yes :)
Two inspiring men. Dr Greger has the medical credentials to help ease any doubts I may have had about going vegan and Markus you are a fantastic advertisement for the benefits of a plant based diet. The two of you should definitely collaborate more often and keep spreading/reinforcing these health messages.I’ve been vegan for 4 months and have never felt better. Watching videos like these has helped me fill any dietary gaps (B12, omega 3s) too which I need to do to make this a truly lifelong commitment.
Organic isn't what everyone thinks it is though. I presumed, if it's organic, it's pesticide-free. Makes sense, otherwise what's the point, surely? But no, some of them still use it but not as much, which is, in a way worse because it's tricking/confusing customers. It's madness! It's the logic of someone saying "Rather than give up cigarettes altogether, let's just have five a day."
I m wondering if an average consumer who might be interested in becoming a vegan or a plant based diet can afford to buy an organic produce all the time. Also during a winter time or northern regions of our world, where a fresh greens and fruits to be found?
Tnk you markus for having Dr Michael Greger , he is the more amazing plant based nutritional professional in the planet . Love his daily dozen tips , how not to die cookbook and all his blogs mush tnks to him for take the world by storm on a mush rewarding vegan diet . That is ever growing hope to see mush more grate interview like this in the future 👊 . Love always 💕 vegan vibes forever kp up the gd wrk💚💚💚 ✌.
Thank you Markus. I appreciate your spirit so much. May your exuberance and endeavours continue for a long time to come. Dr. Greger is wonderful we know and his work deserves the greatest exposure - thank you for showcasing him. From a friend in Australia. Bless...
Fantastic, fantastic interview. Perfect for those still "in the matrix", or overly influenced by the mainstream media and such. Forwarded to many! Cool that also all sheeple-questions are answered.
Such an informative, must see interview...I didn't need to see the Dr in a lab coat to know but I pray this will open my husband's eyes bc I'd like to spend another few yrs wth him...thanks 💝
Thank you Markus for flying East to conduct this excellent interview. Dr. Michael Greger did a wonderful job of explaining the science behind the plant-based lifestyle. I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for all you do. It is appreciated more than you know.
He's so passionate, well versed, concise and just simply, a great speaker without hesitation. I so happen to have my computer's volumes up just a bit as its 5am and his speaking grabbed my attention. Looking into this and wishing all good luck on their journey. It feels more like mere common sense after listening to him and as we are human, that's hard to apply and yet, should be to all areas of life.
Awesome interview ! Thank you Markus and Cara. I posted your interview on Dr. Mercola's FB page and he marked it as a "spam" because he promotes the stupid ketogenic diet and he obviously doesn't want his fans to know that he is wrong.
Rae Rael, I read Mercola every day and have learned so much from him, but you're right about his pushing the ketogenic diet. But Mercola admits he had to go back on potatoes and rice for his health after being off all grains for a long time. He has backed a number of things and then has backed off of them after learning more.
I have never been thinner and have never looked better at age 43 being mostly vegan. Lots of Tempe, beans, rice, greens, oatmeal, raw fruits and vegetables every single day. I have now literally no desire for any sweats whats so ever besides the occasional fruit or fresh pressed fruit juice. My favorite breakfast is Gerson style oatmeal with 1 cup of frozen blueberries with a little pomegranate extract.
I was literally killing myself with meat and crap to the point where my blood test were getting really scary. Cholesterol, fasting glucose and liver enzymes were all to high along with almost everything else. I recently had a new test done and my doctor couldn't be any happier. He said mine was better than his and he's a traditional Chines Practitioner . He said to me that he wished all his patients were doing was I was doing. Both you guys have literally saved my life and help e live a life without disabilities.
Jay Cee48 stick with it bro. I’m 49 and been eating live, raw for about 3 yrs now. I’m off All meds: blood pressure, cholesterol, sleeping pills, anti inflammatory, muscle spasms, pain and anti depressants. I have a 24 pack abdomen, skin and hair is perfect and my libido is off the chain.
im 45 and Cara has taught me so much what an amazing and unselfish woman she is.Marcus is incredibly articulate and he has a no b.s. approach. we are all so blessed with their books and media
For the name "Truth Seeker" you speak a whole bunch of nonsense shit my friend. Hey Lars, I LOVE Dr. Greger and Markus too! And Alexandra and you of course! ;-)
Markus, thank you. This came at the right time for me today. I have been following Markus plan since June 2017, feel amazing, look younger (57) and yet the internet has so much controversy out there. Answer to prayer, definitely. On top of that I met a random guy at The Vitamin Shoppe today, who is a plant based eater for 25 years. I got my answers today!!
Love this thankyou I am following this and will look up the website ! I am on a plant based eating lifestyle and have improved my health significantly , it’s reassuring to know I am on the right track I will buy the book too
I like Markus and his message & and am grateful. After a while though the use soft focus camera lens, makeup, and deft hair coloring seems to be trying too hard for the superficial appearance of youth. That said, to each his own.
What's wrong with trying to look your best at any age. It's too bad that so many older people just let themselves go after a certain age, as if looking good is only for the young. As a young woman in her fifties I still rock the skinny jeans and off the shoulders tops, and high hills. I don't color my hair yet but when that time comes I will. I believe part of feeling good is looking good. Even the late great Jack LaLanne wrote about the importance of always looking your best, not just how you eat and exercise but how you dress.
He likes to dress sexy and funky, good for him. He must be feeling good. He is an artist and creative, artists usually dress differently then the regular population. In another video, he mentions he doesn’t use commercial shampoo or conditioner on his hair. Only uses apple cider vinegar. Also it’s amazing that he has a luscious full head of thick hair. He’s allowed to dress as he wants , as you are. Without other people judging you or him.. Also did you consider that he’s not trying very hard to look young, that it’s effortless for him. It’s a good lesson to observe your own negativity and jealousy. Or brain washed restrictions, judgements and limitations take are holding you back. All the best to you, life is a journey of breaking these limiting beliefs , place upon us in earlier years. Your comment , made me think and examine where I am judgemental of others , when the real reason is jealousy and the fear I can’t have that too.
ZeroPointField I bet you don’t complain when you’re girlfriend, wife, put on an nice outfit and makeup on to look the best they can for you. (Well do you punk? You must have been watching the Batchelor a lot as they always say ( With that been said or That said. We know what you said because we just read that Shite you wrote.
Great job Marcus thanks for having THE man himself on your show. I turned my life plant based over a year ago and have you to thank! Keep up the good work :) My skins better hair weight, putting muscle on at the gym like crazy, I feel better and smarter with school and work as an electrician. This guy saves my life for sure!
I am a big fan of Dr. Greger, and also Dr. Joel Fuhrman. I have followed a vegetarian/nutritarian diet for many years. I am 70 years young and have no health problems other than being underweight from eating too much fiber!!!
I started hyperventilating when I saw your Instagram post announcing this video! Literally my 2 favorite people in the vegan world information community together in a video 😭
Markus Rothkranz - It has nothing to do with how loud he is, but the fact that he lectures so frequently, allows many in the area the opportunity to attend his lectures. :-)
Dear Mr Markus, i love you too,for bringing us the Good Doctor. You are contributing so much more to society, than myself a mere pharmacologist who has done no more than chasing the holy grail for selective toxicity..God Bless You too !
markusrothkranz.com/gregermarkuscara.jpg Actually I am. if you look to the left in the shots of him, you can see the camera monitor showing what I'm doing
I am a Seventh Day Adventist we have known this for over a 100 years, by a lady called Ellen G White who was shown in vision, it is also a Biblical principle; but for the most part we are not sharing this and some are going back to unhealthy diets like coffee, meat etc. Its a sad day for us but now others are taking up the banner to carry on where we began like you Markus and Cara. Thank you, you have both truly inspired and motivated me tighten up any gaps and am looking forward to getting your recipe book asap and go completely raw.
lil gem what really matters is to eat in moderation whatever diet you choose to adhere to. But be mindful that your body is the product of meateaters from time immemorial. Which you do well to remember.
lil gem Thank you for being part of the answer aand pointing the way for us. Please ignore the ignorant, hateful responses and just notice how many thumbs up you've received.
White was the crazy chicky who claimed to be Christian yet predicted the end of the world..several times..and was wrong every time..she may of had " visions"..but they werent from God..1) God doesnt lie..2)No one knows the hour or the day..not even the son.....but Ms. White😂😂😂
C.H. Whether or not White was crazy doesn't matter. For the sake of this discussion, all that matters is that generations of Adventists followed the diet - religiously. We can study what happened and draw conclusions based on science.
I love what Paul Nison says about this. Being a Christian, I’ve had so many friends tell me how it’s permissive to eat meat. However, from a biblical perspective, Paul points out that we did not eat meat until after the flood when all of the plants were under water. Once man got taste of flesh he kept eating it. I just thought that it was an interesting thing he pointed out. We even SMELL better when we eat plant based! Just sayin....😀👍🏼
Ice Bear I agree! So many turn a blind eye. It’s so easy to go to the supermarket and pick up that neat little package of bloody meat with complete ignorance as to how it arrived there! Sad and true. This is the most gut wrenching part for me when I talk to my friends who don’t seem to understand.
how are they tortured? How about when they are sent off to slaughter?? Doesn't matter if they lived their whole life being grass fed, the end game is they lose their life, and there is no such thing as humane slaughter....
