Hey Everyone! 8 Years late but i'm going to start posting new vids to the channel! Just short 10-ish minute clips of different games I find fun. No commentary or other BS, just straight up gameplay. Subscribe if interested!
@@RedditOnSteroids Thanks! I havent played in MANY years, but want to revisit the game again soon. From others in the comments here, it seems that battles like this still do happen!
They do indeed, was in a TR assault on Indar last night. The entire team just collectively came together with armored units and blitzed the enemy. Infantry raided buildings while tanks provided cover fire. It was nuts.
@CatandBonez Sad how PS2 has been recently. I remember playing this game a year after it came out. The devs should make a PS3 to reinvigorate the community.
Why do you guys care if he is doing bad, he is a lvl 2 medic and plus he is trying to do the best he can so stfu to all the people who is saying he is terrible.
To me, it doesn't look like he's trying to level up or show off, he's showing us the scale of the battle, he's not bad he's just showing off the scenery, simple.
Dude I can remember every single major battle I have ever been ... Each in different zones , reasons and its difference , the game is amazing ... Remembering one time we were pushed from one base to another and you can see 100 different other players running in thesame direction as we fall back and reinforce the other bases and you just 100 of different vehicles everywhere and everyone else working eachother for survival as 1000s of bullets flying across the air every single second , and until another faction steps in and turns into a three way crossfire ... I could go on talking about different war stories but im afraid this will no longer happen if people leave and complain about the game and they share their discouraging stories about how terrible this game had turned out into , but those ingame war experiences are whats keeping me to love this game
your right this game is amazing and having you there just watching the beautiful scene ... but some people dont like dropping in all the sudden and learning nothing on how to play the game, or simply just not having the system requirements.
Your right dude! I remember my first time playing and I just saw bullets everywhere, planes crashing, tanks blowing up. And I just spawned and I was like WTF? BUT THIS GAM IS INCREEDS
Joshino when I first played this, I didn’t feel like I belonged lol it was so massive and the amount of bullets flying with explosions is just crazy!! I absolutely loved it and still playing it to this day lol it never gets old and the battles are new everytime
Literally just checked out how the game is running and it's ruined completely in PC. At least PS4 version still has the old OG update where everything was good
@@ZombieSlayerBO2 well for one, it has. Massive hacker problem and devs aren't doing anything to help with that. Two, the sunderes have too much hp and defenses, it's hella unbalanced and they can survive a literal barrage of tank shell shots from multiple lightnings. I'm not even joking as I tried to defend against the blue guys with my squad, we were in tanks and around two sunderes came up to us. We hit all out shots but only managed to get one to literally half hp without it being in deployment mode and they destroyed all tanks with simple cannons. There's way too much and I don't want to be writing paragraphs accidentally, I have a bad habit of just writing literal essays
@@mastershadow3894 that’s fine! Good to know. As any of the infantry classes, I’ve had an extremely hard time dealing with tanks. The Heavy’s launcher is near useless (i play NC), and the other classes have nothing at all
Actually, smart tanks do move. Only nabsters don't move, choosing to be sitting ducks instead. They usually die fast and kill those around them when their wrecks start rolling or jump in the air. And unless forced to stay behind the tank by suppressing fire, an engineer ALWAYS has to stay on the sideways of the tank to repair it, or in one of the back corners.
I had a couple of friends that keep boasting that battle royal is the best PvP genre of gaming because there's 100 players fighting each other. I laughed at that statement saying I know a game that has 3 factions, fights for territory with 1000+ players instantly. All my friends laughed that such a game doesn't exist. So I showed them this video. Saying all those people are players, while manning air support and tanks, while the rest of the players help push. And like that....they were surprised as hell....the reaction on their faces on seeing a massive battle has caught them speechless.
@@jamiet8921 Ehhhhh, but its biggest battle was a laggy mess, and it was kind of underwhelming...Idk, I just kind of like large scale battles where you're in the moment and not observing from afar.
@@dislikebutton5149 Do you run AMD or Intel?. Game was optimized for Intel back then because they had a deal with Nvidia. I don't have any problems but I do have a beast of a pc
Good ol' times where you could actually stand visible in a place like such a bridge for several seconds without getting damage because no one had a clue wtf was going on.
@@Zynphii Battles like this happen on the daily. The player base is very much alive and still growing, with new content being added as well. The devs have done an amazing job keeping this going strong.
@@joshuapicarello yeah, just need a bit more support from youtubers/streamers and it would do even better, sadly people play what's popular no matter the quality of it, that's quite sad, because PS2 is an amazing game
@@petarvlcek7205 but even without all that, the playerbase is still strong af..came back to the game and it's still fire,i also made 8 friends of mine download and play..love this game because it reminds me so much of eve dust
I’ll never forget when me and 100 players defended a base for hours at what seemed like a nonstop constant wave of enemies. I felt like David Crockett at the Alamo.
After 10 years, RU-vid decided to recommend me this video, just to remember me that my favourite game of all time is slowly crawling to a death.... This game is amazing and i will never forget it
This is the first Planetside 2 video I ever watched. This is the video that got me hooked, I fell in love with the game within the first few seconds of the video. I love coming back to this video every now and then, it's brilliant and shows the chaos and scale of the game perfectly
I keep getting drawn to it, I don't understand the language of people in my region so it's kinda hard to communicate but I really love the sounds man. Like I cannot forget that one time a mosquito or something bigger flew above me and it made this really nice rumbling sound and it felt as if I was there.
i commend him for being a great player , he did his job as a medic and played better than most players at times , one problem tho , its like as if he was afraid to advance in front making him look kinda slugish , but great video he captured the battle perfectly.
Pushing lines is difficult you're dodging bullets, air crafts tanks and other infantry soldiers, killing them so your team can get that tiny foot hold and solidify some ground. Very difficult, you die a lot
The entire battlefront was advancing slowly. Exactly as it should. And it moved astonishingly fast for moving through a choke point like that bridge. The medic is going to advance behind the front, healing the fallen and injured who fall behind. Keeping everyone moving. Also, pro tip. When you have alot of armor moving with you, prioritize healing engineers and fellow medics. When you have alot of enemy armor, prioritize engineers and heavies. But under any circumstances, *HEAL MAXS!!* Medics somehow thing they cant heal max units. They can. And i fucking wish they would.
@@notsookidoki Game is still active with a pretty healthy player base. You can expect to see around 2,000 players online on average, and those numbers will go up to 4,000 or higher during peak hours
the only downs u Dec to the game is the customization. in order to make your guy look cool or to simply get new gear you need to grind thecshit out of the game. to buy a new gun you easily need to atleast a solid 12-20 hours of good gameplay in order to collect enough credits to buy a single new weapon. and in order to customize your character, as well as your vehicles you need to pay money, typically just to customize one vehicle is $20 and to customize your character alone is $10. *that's just appearance customization* there is no way to gain appearance customization just by playing the game.
I wish this guy was fighting the vs. or even AS the vs. This battle was nothing. At night, the vs put on a massive fucking STROBE SHOW when they fight en masse like this! oh man....its one of the reasons i am a die hard vanu.
Yo I remember when battlefield 3 had battles like these. Conquest and 32 players just going at it. You had to work as a team. This game. This is a hardcore fps, this puts COD to shame
Nononononono, u misunderstood. PS2 is a common abrevation for planetside 2, just how the common reference for Planetside on PS4 is "ps2onps4", sorry for any confusion lol
I play PS2, so this is not new to me, but I have to say, I was more invested in this player than I've been in some main characters in blockbuster movies...you can feel the trepidation and uncertainty, and see the danger he is in. Great stuff.
There is a newer game coming out with PS2's same kind of vibe and idea, but a bit more tactical/MILSIM esque. I am not sure when it's coming out, its all drawing board right now, but it's being created by an indie team and it's called Project Disparity. I would project maybe 2025 as a release date, but its made by some of the folks who developed the SQUAD Galatic Contention mod, which is an Overhaul of SQUAD that sets players in the middle of Star Wars The Clone Wars. From what I have heard from the devs its heavily inspired by Planetside 2 and Squad. There will be massive capital ships and I think 100 v 100 servers, the ships can hold an entire team and they can walk around the ship, man different guns and systems, etc while the ground war is waging below.
@@danielszenyan7286 As of July of this year this has been minimal chatter in their discord, it seems they have it at it's base in mod format but nothing public exists, an admin in the community mentioned that they are focused on GC at the moment
Still love the fact that even though I've played this game WAY too much, most battles still feel like your in some awesome part of a single player game cut-scene.
Very underrated game. I started playing planetside when 2 was released and couldnt believe my eyes. It was open world, massive, so many people fighthing 24/7. It was nothing like i had ever experienced before. My pc was struggling back then. I was so immersed in this thing. Told all my friends about it, but only 2 of them liked it. I dont understand why... This game was and is unique. I tend to upgrade my PC if they release a third one! PLEASE!!!
*This is what Killzone Shadow Fall should've been.* Bridges & choke points make for some epic battles. I'm looking forward to this on PS4. I can't wait to see our glorious tracer fire lighting up the horizen.
I don't agree.Destiny is set in a post-war era when you are a guardian not a soldier you are not a member of a massive nationwide armed force you are member of an elite force that protects the last city on earth.Destiny is not ment to be a full scale war but more like Guerrilla warfare.
I still remember when I first saw this almost 7 years ago and how amazed I felt... I had just got my first PC (the one my dad wasn't using anymore) and my only online gaming experience was from visiting friends who had consoles. I found this video, stumbled my way through installing the game, and spent 2 hours running around completely clueless and getting repeatedly killed. I was so goddamn awful at it. Somehow I still loved every single moment, and to this day I don't consider a single second of it to be time wasted.
This. This right here is one of the many reasons i fucking loved this game. I remember getting in and playing and i happened to stumble upon a bridge battle that had to have lasted over an hour.. and it was straight fuckin magical
Abbas D. Abbas yeah, but modern war is hardly large scale, it's a lot of small scale battles happening at once. A 3v2 a 5v3 a little 10 man offensive. This is more like a massively blown up world war.
kenny Dhal Well you are actually talking about intern missions and I agree with that. But I think that if there would be a war between 3 powerful nations it would have larger battles.
i remember a huge battle (long long time ago) with the blue guys versus the reds. it was in a desert map or whatever and it was in a huge clearing between a fort to a huge ass base. blue guys push with tanks, reds decide to use heavy airforce because we didn't have any, we got our asses whopped but then it turned night so the airforce couldn't see shit (a bit, but not as good as day) and we zerged the shit out of them! so fun lasted like 8 hours will never forget
I miss this game in its prime, fireworks, the light shows, watching combine arms between massive groups. Sometimes just chilling with random enemy solos just out in the middle of random sectors was fun when we manage to form a ceasefire.
big fights in the game are what make me want to play more but 100% my favorite times is when you and 12 or so other people are locked in a house with ~48 enemies on the outside shooting at you all. it gets really tense and that is why its so good
I'm so glad to find this video again after many years. The sounds, especially the bridge crossing section, it is terrifying and beautiful, all that lethal noise from every direction.
I've only ever experienced a few massive battles in my limited time on planetside 2 but holy shit the pure ADRENALINE and when you are on the front line popping off and your team is pushing up deeper into the base with you... Nothing feels the same
I played this game originally when it came out, and have on and off over the years - am playing again now. Don't have that many hours in it - just over 1100 - but I've been in countless battles and know what the game is about. Even so, I still watch this video every once in a while just to see what this new player was feeling when he experienced this. You can practically feel it through his camera motion and his movements. He is fully immersed, and damn is it awesome.
Well, you don't have to wait very long! You see, Planetside 2 is a day-one PS4 exclusive! So you'll get to play it the day PS4 hits shelves . . . . . ..... . . . . .. .. . . ..
Kiefer I wrong sir. Planetside 2 is still in its testing g stages for PS4, the control changes, gun selection, and map layout are still being processed. Not to mention character customization..XP But I saw a video showing its progress, it's almost there..but not quite.
Awesome. Whenever I get into battle like this I tend to just shoot roughly where the enemy is just to make it look like I'm doing something yet really I'm just admiring the battle. I won't actually shed blood until a good few minutes into the battle lol.
this brings back so many great memories I had playing this game, infact I might have been at this battle, because I remember taking part in a huge battle at this exact place about 7 years ago. I hope a planetside 3 comes out and brings hype back to the series so we can have some massive thousand player wars again
Not sure if you knew this, but when you revive someone with a non-fully upgraded medical tool that person does not respawn with full health so further healing is necessary. Also if you ever play the engineer class don't worry about trading a mine for the ammo pack. When you press 'B' while you have your turret in hand, it will cycle to an ammo pack. I don't think any of the upgrades you applied the one in the utility slot will have an effect on that one. Last but not least. If you find yourself trying to decide between two guns or upgrades, go to the VR room to test them out and see which one you like best. To get there, simply go to the console with a globe icon over it and once at the menu look in the bottom left hand area, there will be a green bar labeled VR room. Once there test your heart out. You can try on different armors and helmets, test guns with attachments, and of course drive and customize vehicles and aircraft. (VR room is bugged at the moment so I wouldn't recommend going until the next hotfix) By the way, It's never too late to join up with the true saviors of humanity. May vanu be with you.
I can remember my second game of planet side too. Me and my friend just jumped in and there was a massive formation of tanks and other vehicles invading a base being supported by snipers an these helicopter like things it was just awesome.
202penguin That isn't what the Devs said. Due to it being SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) making the game, and Sony who made the PS4, they know how the console works. Unlike developing for the PC they can tailor the performance of the game specifically to the hardware. Look up the E3 press conference. It explains it pretty well.
Every so often I reinstall planetside 2 after forgetting about it for a few years at a time. Everytime it's less and less fun and more grindy than the last. But right as I think about deleting it again and forgetting about it... again. I end up in the middle of some massive battle just like this. That alone gives me the kick to keep playing for a few more weeks before eventually leaving yet again, only to start the cycle all over again.
Wow, this is *exactly* what I was looking for. I always have a massive grin whenever I see large-scale battles, such as a big firefight in a chokepoint in Battlefield, or in movies when there is a big battle going on, but this just made me unbelievably happy. It's everything I ever wanted in a war game.
the begining was so EPIC especially cuz of night and all them rockets etc going around damn i just hit lvl 15 on ps4 and i hope ill be in some huge battle like this
Anyone remember the Crown fights when there was still that jump pad below? Invis Sundy parked in the little shed across the road and endless troops just flying up into the base until some armor had something to say about it
i like your style of play, not really focus on killing but you help other teamates pushing forword to complete your mission. you SIR are A TRUE SOLDIER
Ah the game looks amazing with your settings I am jealous. Glad to see new players enjoying it, PS2 is like the Eve Online of shooters, it can be a bit baffling at times. Grab revives grenades for your medic when you can, they are cert machines, great for levelling quicker :)
This is defiantly high on the list of my top 5 favorite FPS games I've ever played. I love the feeling of being in one of these epic battles. The feeling of chaos and war in this game is addicting as all hell!
We were crossing a bridge to take the crown.we had 2 tanks and air support if needed, and a aerial transport making its way towards us.normal operation.then the ambush happened.the front tank got hit,and a enemy convoy sprang a ambush.the tank fell back, and we lost 6 men out of the 20 we had.we called for aerial support, and they said eta 1 minute.soon,a enemy tank opened fire on the bridge.they missed our tank, but hit the front row of infantry.aerial support arrived and we got reinforcements.air support arrived as well, but they got shot down.enemy infantry then fell back, and the convoy was destroyed.we had lost most of our men,but we crossed the bridge and took the crown.
i dont know why but these are my favouret games when you realise how small you are in the battle and you run forward with your team and you look left and see just a face off idky but its awesome to me
