That’s what I’m saying! Yesterday I was pressing out ball joints from a dodge. The fitment was STUPID right. Thought I was gonna blow up my ball joint press tool.
@@user-lq8mm2em2vwe use metric mostly except when it comes to lbs and foot lbs. What is a NM of torque? I don't know but I definitely know my foot lbs. Oh ya Horsepower sounds better than Kilowatts for an engine
I didn't have a gun on mine. Enter a vic2, 1 meter breaker bar and a 2lb club hammer. Oh, and an ache wrist weeks later from the shock. Ironically my threads were spotless, but the flange rusts and breaking that was the hard part. Once it gave it spun out by hand.
Man I love that u put all the clips back idk if it’s just me but I’m starting to see mechanics get a lazier than b4 sum ppl would just throw it on and not indent or not bend a cotter pin in the right direction
I did one when I was 18 in the sand on delta 98 , I used the weight of the car to press it . Amazing what you can do when stranded and put mind to it , funny thing is 30 years later going through tools and we had all different size ball joint forks 🍴
This guy is smart, anytime you are going to work on something thats been there a long time spray the hell out of it with some kind of penetrating oil,it will make your job real smooth.
They do not build them like this anymore! You have to replace the engine and transmission to get the same job done now, that's if not replacing the whole car, which is way easier!
You didn't torque the ball joint.. you have some balls showing up on the Internet and showing how actual mechanics work. People working office jobs giving repair advice don't approve 🤣😂🤣😂
