@xynostasos9022; Usually, esters tend to augment the volume of elastomers, unlike PAOs which typically cause them to contract, leading to a loss of their elastomeric properties and eventual degradation. Moreover, any increase in volume, subject to various norms and OEM specifications, beyond a certain percentage, is generally deemed unacceptable. This aspect hinges on the molecular composition of esters. Typically, if esters incorporate fatty acids in their structure capable of diluting elastomer compounds (plasticizers), the swelling of seals is heightened. Alternatively, adjusting the molecular structure can render it more amorphous, thereby mitigating this effect.

When the interviewer knows as much or more than the intervewee 😅 I Have a question: In Jet oils, Hydrolisys, happens at temperatures above what, 90C? At room temps like 40C it doesnt? Emulsifies at room temps or keep phases?

Which is the best type of ester for seal swelling on high mileage cars? Most lubricant brands do not disclose any information regarding this.

Can you suggest me that which is the lubricant brand using the neopolyol ?

Thats hard because many companies do no disclose what blend of oils they use. I will say Mobil's Esterex basestock which is blended at some amount with their PAO contains some neopolyol. how much? we can only guess.

Neopolyol is the same as TechPE? Lotsa C5+ acids, but light viscosity, extremely high thermal resistance ...

@@DeusKDuoMobil 1 use just 2% of Esterex (I bet it's a simple diester) to solve the additives. Only 2%! On top of that, the other group V is Alkylated Naphtalene, about 17%, not an ester at all... Neopolyol, forget it!

High Performance Lubricants and Red Line Oil both use POE.
