How can people not like this guy? Not only is he the best in the world (although EJ is giving him a run at his money right now), but one of the best personalities as well. Always enjoy hearing your perspective Jason. Best of luck this week!
It's many of the conservatives that despise two-handed bowling. I always imagine the Gene Wilder "Willy Wonka" meme when they're about to start ragging on the style. "Tell me all about the "advantages" the two-handers have." 🤣🤦♂️
@HellcatOpsGaming I'm 41, one-handed, and still throw 16 lbs. I carry a 205 average in a scratch sports-shot league. I know from experience that they don't have advantages. I see them struggle as much as any other bowler. That's why I always argue against the ones that shame it. End of rant. If your thumb is sore, then your thumb hole is too tight or you're squeezing it. Try opening it up or using some "easy slide" on your thumb. That stuff works wonders.
I had the privilege of meeting you at the world cup at the Sunshine coast Aust and watched the last 2 days of bowling, including your 300. Wishing you all the best and look forward to seeing you on the TV shows of the TOC.
Keep posting like this. You showing us your thought process and how you bowl, will make us better bowlers. Also it is very entertaining to watch what you do.
He's not the GOAT yet. Walter Ray still holds that title. But I believe he'll get there for sure, but he's about to enter the toughest time of his life..his 40s. That's the point where you either crumble, or age like wine. I'm hoping he stays healthy
Not gonna lie. I love Tommy Jones game too. Poetry in motion. Im a devout single handed bowling fan but I appreciate the greatness of Belmo. The OG along with Osku. Good luck Jason!
I had the pleasure of meeting you at Randy Peterson Hall of fame dinner at the toc in Las Vegas . You had one of your children in a stroller . I also met you and your family at the wsop vat the south point right before the pandemic hit . You have a beautiful family . Just finished watching your qualifying comeback at 2023 toc . Good luck in match play!
Dropped him a note on his page last year. To my shock he replied back like the gentleman he is. People tend to be negative vs guys that win a lot but Belmo is a real cool guy. Reps our sport and Aussies with class. He'll come out of the funk. Just proves the pros go through same stuff us joes do just at a much much higher level.
When I listen to Jason Belmonte I hear a true professional mindset. I'm glad he chose bowling, but he would have been successful at whatever he chose to do. Best of Luck!
Great video Belmo! Love the more vloging and less bowling content. It was a little bit akward, but i think its nice to see you having conversations with other bowlers!
Interesting 1st vlog of this type. Thanks ! I'd like to hear a bit more about thought process on which balls to use where and why though ! (please :P )
I hope to see you on tour next year man. I am doing a sanctioned leauge this year but I am on the highschool bowling team so I gotta wait till school is over to join. I cannot wait to see you one day man! Better yet, I am a 2 hander and lefty. Alot of time I get I bowl so similar to you!
Love the behind the scenes footage Jason, just subscribed. I don’t know if you remember Mike Markis, he was a great friend of mine but the lord took him way too young. I had the pleasure of bowling and traveling with Mike to these tournaments meeting many of the pros via Mike. Never had the pleasure of meeting you but your footage is what I remember most, everyone trying to figure out the lanes plus the emotional ups and downs. He always told me what a great guy you are. Your commentary confirms it. Keep winning and uploading videos. I’m sure Mike is rooting for you from above!! Good luck this season.
Wow.....bowling content aside; the cinematic quality of this video, with the editing, cuts, music and story-telling is simply top notch. Very impressive. But when you are the GOAT, the video production has to be keep pace. Well done.
When he talked about bowling in the same place as the greatest of all time 5 or ten years from now people are gonna be adding his name to that list. in fact they should do that now. awesomely humble.
This was my dream and I was on my way into my early 20's. But a devastating arm injury stopped that dream. Its still not even 60% after surgery, PT, and 8 years. But i was 237 avg house 213 avg sport and getting ready to go to regional tournaments with buddies of mine. I guess God had different plans for me. But I would LOVE your job Belmo.
Really enjoyed the video ! This just my thoughts about the first video to come. Me personally I would like to see a little more bowling clips of you bowling. I like hearing the behind the scenes insight talking to the other pros and stuff. I cant wait to see more videos !
Jason, what happened?? Just watched your first qualifying round on Bowltv. Lots of 2-10s, lots of single pins, not nearly enough strikes. Hope you can figure it out tonight!
I understand what you meant by trying out balls for different parts of the lane that are going to be used as the day goes on in a set of games. But does the oil transition that much in a practice session that is similar to several games of tournament play? How do you add in the factor of the oil transition in the 7th or 8th game of a match set to determine what ball to use?
