Hello! Well I am so excited that my Airhead Composting Toilet ie: head...and I installed it myself! Thanks to other Flicka owners who carefully documented it while I more or less jumped in as no one else (IE professionals) were able to help (too busy, they say, yay for them, bad for me) sooooo, I am doing it myself! It's almost ready to use - just waiting for the two missing brackets to hold the "number one tote" (it has a handle too!) and it will be ready to.... go....in....use...!!!
And: it maybe boring to some but very exciting to others, hah, hah!
I will be more careful with my camera angles, however, I had to fit the camera and tripod in amongst the tools, and....I left the microphone at a strange angle I discovered later! But now have wireless little clip on mics, so fun when you "have to buy" things like that....ummm...for the boat...?!!
And thank you for watching!! (& I hope I hid my butt shots...camera awareness is quickly developing, please ignore my lousy shorts & I folded one pant leg to get some sun &...forgot about it!)

You could always drill a hole in the bulkhead to the left of the toilet and put an extension on the crank to reach.

Hey good idea! They do make the cranks the size of a coffee grinder winch, hah!! I mean, how much pressure do we need to stir it all up!!

The toilet looks awfully tall. How high is the toilet seat in comparison to the previous toilet?

Hello Stuart! the new toilet is about 5" higher than the old one...and for me, it is still fine with the enclosed head (& I can see out the porthole easily now too, lol) however, if you were taller than my 5'5", it could be a bit of an issue. I also like it as it's not as far to sit down...:-) & I can still easily get behind it to the batteries & area there.

That was exactly was I thinking. I put a composting head in my Pearson 323 and to go #2 comfortably I need something to rest my feet on. This looks like it would be even higher. I wonder about removing the raised platform that is under the original head so that the composting head could be shorter?
