Wonderful collection of stills from the film! Love that you have included candids and wardrobe shots too, along with your fine commentary... this video could not be better to give a feeling of what it was like during the shooting of the film. Thank you!
This channel is an absolute must see for anyone who loves old Hollywood. So many real facts and very beautiful rare pictures. Love the narration and editing also.
Those were the wholesome, post-war, golden years of Hollywood; the entertainment era that framed my childhood and defined the remarkable world I'd lucked into. She was radiant and beautiful.
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I’ve been collecting for over 40 years so I’ve had a lot of time to accumulate a large collection! Thanks so much again for watching!
Caren, I am excited by this work that you have presented, the captivating story, and the photos are of a high level of excellence and unprecedented, surely, for most of all of us. Those photos from the costume fittings are my favorites because I see another angle of Rita's beauty. Congratulations on your love, your work for the legacy of Rita Hayworth, Thanks.
OMG Caren you post such high quality stills here that i've never seen before!👏👏👏 BTW do you have any idea who designed the costumes in this film? depending on the source i'm reading it been credited to such designers as Irene, or Robert Kalloch, or even an Irene Saltern🤔.........love your channel as always🌹
Thank you so much for your kind words! I have another similar video in the works for You Were Never Lovelier. Regarding the costumes, I’m not sure which of them - I’m guessing probably Irene, but they are both credited. Thanks so much again for watching!
Does anyone know who designed the costumes? Columbia was very bad at giving costume designers screen credit. I have two guesses: Irene( most likely) or Kalloch.
HUGE fan of your Rita book! Do you have a PO Box? Would love to send a letter and maybe even my book to be signed (I’d pay for everything of course and whatever the charge would be for a signature)! Huge huge fan of your work and hope I can make a biography of my own on a special subject too. Thank you for filling the world with so much beauty from your fascinating insights and photography collection!
Thank you so much for such a nice comment! I really appreciate it and I’m so happy that you liked my book. It was a labor of love for me! I do have a PO Box, but I don’t visit it very often because it’s in another state, and I’m traveling the country right now, so I don’t know when I would be able to send your book back and I would hate to keep it for too long. I’m sorry! I would love to sign it! I’ll try to remember to get back to you if I happen to be in that state for a length of time. Until then, I hope you also make a biography on your favorite subject! And thanks so much for supporting my channel!
