Perhaps being too literal, but still annoys me that the modern usage of apocalypse, much like decimate, is not the actual original definition of the word.

I wish someone would explain where this "loving" Jesus idea comes from. Consider the examples Dr McClellan gave at around 27:50 -- 1. "Love thy neighbor" is a quote from the Old Testament, where your neighbor is only someone of your own race (you can make slaves of the others), and Jesus is demonstrably very racist. 2. "The meek shall inherit the earth" -- how is that loving? Encouraging people to be meek, turn the other cheek, declare no contest in court, let people take advantage of you? 3. "Those who live by the sword will die by the sword" -- He COMMANDED the disciples to bring swords, what the heck is he doing pronouncing a curse on poor Peter for using his sword? Where does this fluffy hippie notion of Jesus come from? The guy I find in the Gospels is dark, sinister, and actually rather stupid and short-sighted. Dan? Either Dan? This question preys on my mind. I tried asking Dr Ehrman once, but he didn't seem interested.
