It's interesting to hear another composer talk about the process of composing. Perhaps it's different for each of us. Sometimes a struggle, sometimes it just flows. When you're in the zone, you know it. Composition is imagination. It can't be forced, but it can be nurtured.

Would it be an advantage if AI / machine learning could somehow be used to transfer the ideas of the composer directly to the musician performing, without the need for the transcription process of writing it down for the player to then attempt to interpret what the composer had in mind?
