Hi, thank you so much. I have some suggestions. Consider upgrading your lighting and record in 4k HDR. I just feel that the production need to catch up with the content. Nearly perfect. I appreciate this setup and testing. The manufacturer owe you big time for this. They made a video too. But it's like 1/3 as good as your video. You are awesome! I think they should link to this one. I just bought this printer and now I am a lot more confident about setting it up! I just liked and subscibed because you deserve it!
Thanks so much for your comment and also suggestions. I've actually purchase new equipment late last year but have not set it up as yet. The plan is to product more high quality videos as you stated . Thanks again I really do appreciate it.
video with a full explanation. Thank you for going into the print settings and choosing media type and quality. NO ONE HAS DONE THAT IN ALL THE OTHER VIDEOS I'VE WATCHED. Subscribed and definitely going to check out your channel
Thanks very much for your support as it means a lot to me and i am happy you got the details and information from this video. I am a very detail person so i try to provide as much details as possible to give as much assistance as possible.
Such a great video! TY, I haven’t found a way to email a print to the printer. Ill be leaving for 3 month and was thinking sending a print once every few weeks might keep it from drying up?
Thanks for your comment and support. What I will say is that I have my printer off all the time when I am finished doing a job and I never encounter any problems with lines being blocked up. So i honestly believe you can turn it off and leave it and come back and it will be good.
Thanks very much for your comment and support. Yes, I also wish it could print bigger. I’m hoping in the future they would create one that would able to print 11x17 and 13x19.
Fantastic video thanks alot bro it's the single best production value video I have ever seen on setting up a printer properly. Prepare for my HOT Slottie Thong Panty SUPER MODEL E
i was thinking of buying it but i actually needed a wide format so i just found and purchased the ET 15000 Epson but with the f170 and f570 sub T49m ink and seeing how that comes out...
I totally understand. The F170 is really amazing but as you said wide format is also key. The 15000 will give you that wide format and i am now in the hunt will hopefully would love to own a F570 or F570 pro in the further so i can do banners etc.
Hey Allan I'm sorry but I wanted to also say this is a awesome tutorial and I'm going to use it when I set mine up because I just got this same printer a few days ago 😊.
Thanks very much for your kind words. I am happy that this video will help you. I hope the other videos on the channel can also benefit you at some point. I am excited to hear your news about the printer.
Thanks for your question and sorry for the late response. Yes it can. Kindly see this info about the power requirements 👉 Rated Voltage: AC 100 - 240 V Universal (Automatic) Rated Frequency: 50 - 60 Hz Rated Current: 0.4 - 0.2 A I hope this helps.
Thanks for your question. Some people do change out inks but i would advise not just from the premises that it could void your warranty if they find you are using ink not belonging to them.
I just purchased this printer today and I am very excited to get it. Your explanations was excellent. The only question I have is, is it regular paper you are putting in for the setting up or sublimation papers
Thanks for your question and comment. Congratulations on the new printer. Yes it’s regular Paper I used in the tutorial to set up the printer. After that then you can use sublimation paper to print your projects. I hope this helps 💪💪
@@atprintshello, Great Video i have a DTF Transfer Film / Sheets in DIN A4, but the Printer Not Print on it… on normal white paper they Print, what is the Problem?
Thanks for reaching out with your question. You can use white ceramic mugs to do sublimation but those mugs must be sublimation coated mugs. In other words the normal mug you would purchase from the supermarket or a store that sells dishes etc can not work. Sublimation mugs are coated with a special solution on the outside that allows you to sublimate onto them.
This was awesome. What paper should we should with this printer? I bought the Epson paper but do I need to stay with that one? Thank you so much Allan.
thanks very much for your question and congratulations on the printer. You can also A-Sub paper here is the link to some 👉 amzn.to/2OWARJW and you can find more links in the description of this video. I hope this helps.
Hi, Thanks for your comment and question. In relation to changing inks, what normally happens is you can void your warranty if you change inks and the printer starts to give trouble. A lot of persons do change the inks and get good results. This one will be totally up to you but if you ask my advice I would say to keep the standard ink. The standard ink gives really good results. I hope this answer helps and feel free to ask any more questions if you need to.
Thanks for your question. It’s not more so the printer you would be asking about but more so the shirt you are using. Let me explain. When you are sublimating onto a shirt it’s best for that shirt to be 50% polyester or higher. If you try to sublimate onto a cotton t-shirt especially if it is a 100% cotton what will happen is that the ink will transfer to the shirt but it will be faded and when you wash the shirt the ink will either wash out or fade away. So once your looking into sublimating onto shirts it’s best to have 50% or higher in polyester. If you get 100% polyester it’s even better. Hope this answer helps.
Just came across your video today. I recently purchased this printer. I wish it came with software like the Saltgrass. What software are you using in the video with your designs?
@@kavashicablack6598 this printer was bought locally. But you can go to Epson a website and also swing design should have some in stock. If you do go to Epson they will show you all the locations that the printer is available
Thank you for the review and demonstration. I am very tempted in purchasing this printer. But what is holding me back is that it doesn't include any graphics software, and I don't own anything close to PhotoShop or CorelDraw. Also, I am not good at graphic creation. So my question is being I don't own any of that software would it make more sense to go with this printer or go with the SawGrass 500 that includes Creative Studio? I want to use one of these ptinters to sublimate coffee mugs and shirts primarily.
Thanks for your question and sorry for the late response. You can use any program and print from it. So in other words you don't need a graphic program to print with this printer. You can use Microsoft word, you can use Canva, and you can even download Silhouette Studio for free and use it to do your designs and print.
Hi Allan, since you have both the ET-2760 and the F170 for sublimation printing, which one do you prefer more? I'm asking because I noticed that the max print resolution for the F170 (1200 x 600 dpi) is far much less than the ET-2760 (5760 x 1440 optimized dpi). Another reason is that currently, I have the ET-4800 printer. I was planning to convert it for sublimation printing up until I found the existence of the F170 which was made for this purpose. And then, I found out about the difference in the max print resolution between the 2 models, (ET-4800 has same dpi as the ET-2760). I'm debating whether to return the ET-4800 or keep it. What is your thought and experience between the 2 printers that you've used?
Thanks for your question and let me apologize for the late response. Congrats on your printer. However, I would strongly advise going with the F170 because it's built and made for sublimation. If it is too costly then you can convert the printer you have at the moment. The reason I advise on going with the F170 is that it's built to take the lashes and built to carry the load for sublimation. However, we do know that converting a printer can work but sometimes lines get clogged or issues come up. The ET-2760 is a good printer but after reviewing both of the Epsons I recommend persons to save time, money, and a whole lot of mess and get the F170.
@@atprints Thanks for the respond Allan. Yes, the F170 is too pricey for me. However, I'll still take your advice. I already have an ET-4800 set up for regular printing. So, this second ET-4800 will be going back. It's still in the box and would be an easy return. As for the pricey F170, well, I'm in no hurry for sublimation printing. So, I can wait for the F170 price to go down. Thanks again Allan.
Thanks for your question. There could be a lot of reasons why this has happen. So firstly, when it comes to sublimation and printing the print out always comes out dull or light so in this regard nothing was wrong there. Secondly when it comes to heat pressing there are different variables we have to look at such as 1. What are you pressing the image onto? Is it a shirt, mug, plate, hat, cloth? If its material, that material must be 50%-100 polyester. The higher the polyester the better. If you try to sublimate onto a cotton shirt it will come out faded and light and when you wash that shirt a lot of the ink will wash out. So remember if its a shirt a 100% polyester will give you great results. 2. Also look at the pressure, Fahrenheit and timing of the heat press. As i am not sure what item you are sublimating i can not tell you exactly about the timing and pressure and Fahrenheit. What i can say is with shirts you can do between 375F -400F for 60 seconds with a medium pressure. With hard substrates it varies. So all in all you can try these steps and let me know your progress. You can also give me some more information in relation to what material or hard substrate you are trying to sublimate and i can assist more. You can also reach out to me on IG or Facebook if you would like to chat. All of the links are in the description.
Sure i can recommend one for you. My question would be are you looking at a all in one heat press or just one heat press. There are 6 in 1 heat press which comes with a hat, mug, plate and shirt piece. So give me a little more info on your ideas.
Hi, With regards to the 6-in-1 heat press you recommend, can you send me the link please? Also, how does the F170 compare to the Oki printer re: quality? The Oki printer is obviously top of the range and expensive, hence looking for a cheaper good quality alternative. Your video is very informative - thank you. 😊
@@loubyl9886 I want to apologize for the late response as I am now seeing the comment. Thanks so much for your question. However, I honestly can't compare the F170 to the Oki printer as I never dealt with the OKi printer before. I checked out some reviews on them but i can not be so sure to give a comparison so I am truly sorry. I can tell you the F170 is a true dye-sub printer and it saves you from converting printers. In relation to the 6 in 1 heat press please see the link 👉 heattransfer.ositracker.com/197375/11767/url_19521
If you are referring to the programe to print you don't have to download the software on your iPad. Once you set up the printer and the wifi it should be able to print from your iPad
@@Cravnlite I am not so sure to be honest. When I unbox and set up it had its own installed but I will surely check it out and reply and let you know. Which settings are you currently using?
I just recently got mine a week and go and I kinda envy your prints end up so good because mine has this lines of little dots that ruin my prints and sublimation and can't seem to find a solutions. Have you ever had this problems if so what was your solution?
Hi, well I never led tried it before so I am honestly not sure. I would personally advise to stick with the original inks. It may work but some printers have warranty etc that you don’t want to break.
Hey, sorry to hear this make sure to go back over the steps slowly. If you wish to you can contact me on IG or Facebook @allan21thompson and i can assist you. Hope to hear from you.
@@ronblack9615 When you click on print, your print panel should come up. There should be 3 tabs at the top with Main, More Options and Matenance. Some times this can be different depending on the computer. However, click on More Options and at the bottom under Additional Settings you will see Mirror Image. I hope this helps.
