Erebus and Epona - Conquering Tide SPEEDPAINT - Part 1 

I just want to say that I used to feel defeated and upset and that I couldn't be a good youtuber because I didn't have apple products (a Mac, Final Cut Pro and that stuff) and then I saw you and I realized that you use windows. You have no idea how much I appreciate that!!!

Erebus is SO cool! Even though a few years ago your drawings helped me completely revolutionize the way I draw horses, my horses still lack the attitude and confidence that yours have. Mine are always shy or sad, while yours are always confident and pleased. They're awesome!

I SOOOOO agree, even though Chrysalis is evil, same with Erebus, she is AWESOME! Evil characters always seem to be to most intriguing and interesting to me.

Oh my gosh, you are amazing. The detail in their body's and face's. I am amazed. And their expressions practically piece the whole thing together. You are amazingly talented! I'm a huge fan!

I wrote Conquering Tide before the new MLP:FiM was even announced. So. No. They just happen to have things in common. Which is a shame, because it may make Conquering Tide appear unoriginal... However, there's a LOT of back story that will distinguish them, in good time.

Oh, being an animator, you frequently have to stay up until 5 am. It's not uncommon to not sleep for a few days even! I can tell you, it's such a strange sight to watch the sky grow dark then light again, a few times in a row... Animation is hard...>.

Haha, no problem. I recently had to send my Intuos off to Germany to be repaired, which was a pain...So I wasn't able to create any artwork digitally for MONTHS! It was awful! I'm saving for the top of the range 24"HD Cintiq... Which will set me back about £2000. Ouch. But it's amazing, and will be well worth the money.

Yeah, same principles apply across the board when doing realism. I've done quite a few portraits for owners in the past, in both graphite and pastel. Realism (copying directly from an image) is so much easier for me than expressions with cartoons, because I can just replicate it. Just takes AGES to finish.

Great job, love the details/expressions on Erebus. Just wondering, have you ever tried drawing horses in realism. I know I have seen some portrits of some of your favorite singers on your DA, you would probably do an amazing job with animals regardless. :)

Hey CMM! I was wondering, what sort of brush settings do you use for your lineart? I'm a photomanipulator who wants to try some digital art, but my lineart always turns out shaky, even with a tablet. Is there a particular setting I can use to attempt to smooth the lines, or does it come more with practice? I use Photoshop CS5. Thank you so much!

If you aren't going to do anything could you please either tell us what happens or auction off the stories for other people to continue. I try to draw a unicorn on my computer once. It ended up looking like a banana, unicorn, and a cat combined..

How do you get that program on your tablet and what do you use to draw with, stylus or your finger? I have a Verizon tablet, I think it's a android.
