That sigh was so disrespectful. Conrad is a nobody, yet treats the former promoter of one of the biggest wrestling companies ever like a child coming home with bad grades.

I understand why many people dislike Conrad, but I can't deny that when he asks these types of questions, knowing the fact he's going to not like the answer and how he reacts, it's entertaining I good laugh out of watching these two and how Eric just roasts TK. I have a feeling deep down Conrad knows Eric speaks the truth about AEW. Eric went through similarities that AEW has, It's actually a shame that TK doesn't take Eric's advice because out of all people Eric would be the one to listen too as he knows what it's like to succeed and fail. And I just have this suspicion Conrad believes this deep down as well.

Yeah he should be more grateful that someone like Eric would want to spend his time with him and talk about Wrestling. I think that Conrad is a huge AEW fan inside and doesn't like any bad talk about the company cause it's not Eric''s style. I got this cause of the way he said to Eric please say good stuff not angry and hateful. Eric is as truthful as he could be and not hateful but when Tony says things about Eric he is going to fire back that is how this all works and how it brings money to the table. If Tony folded up tomorrow what then? No need for the show cause WWE is back on board as the top company and no other company is out there that can combat them. He is a spoiled ungrateful child in my opinion cause he isn't getting what he wants just like the rest of this world seeing as how they say things to try and change another person mindset even tho it's the Truth. If I were to say something to Conrad it be this, Please let Eric be Eric and tell the truth you might have to like it but if you want your podcast to stand out and gather more fans to it then Truth needs to be told and respect that truth cause he is older than you and he been around this business inside and out and has learn things from doing this for a long time. Guys like him you should be a sponge and adsorb his knowledge cause when he is gone you got nothing.

Conrad and Tony I think both liked to book matches as young teenagers and followed dirt sheets the same. With Conrad it comes off like he is living out his dream interviewing and hosting guys who he admired in wrestling while seemingly going too far insulting Eric a lot of times who Conrad knows was the boss in wrestling for a long time. The disrespect with Eric then takes a complete 180 when the topic is about Tony and to me this comes off as really fake and insincere where Conrad might be working an angle to get something from Tony besides some probable decent twink action.

TK has said he was a Cornette fan. If TK would 100% listen to Corny, and follow through with what Corny suggested, it would be an easy working environment.

It's a weird world we live in when a wrestling company that was a cacophony of nonsense but with roughly 2-3 million viewers and countless other fans hoping for a return to glory gets cancelled and pulled from TV yet this even bigger mess has 700,000 viewers and clings on like a limpet up a whales arse.

To be fair to Russo, WCW was an absolute mess when he joined, he did improve tv ratings, and he was key in shifting WWF towards the attitude era and creating a lot of the memorable moments there. Russo is kinda the polar opposite of Khan, Bischoff philophically somewhere in the middle. Russo doesn't care about matches at all and is solely focused on story, characters, and appealing to mass audiences. Matches exist to further those ends and not get in the way too much. Russo had some bad ideas that rightly deserve to be ridiculed, but he also consistently improved ratings wherever he went. Something I can't say for Bischoff, Corny, or Khan.

@@irvinglambert9316 people keep pointing to ratings with Russo. WWF, sure. WCW and TNA were basically on life support, any uptick he could get out of those was icing on the cake I guess. Russo just was never able to bridge his storylines with what happens in the ring, that's known. but Khan's approach to putting on flippy shit indie style "17 star" matches is entirely not the winning formula. he's a brat rich kid that's gotten his way every time his entire life. he's not changing. so he's going to keep dumping daddy's money into AEW indefinitely I guess.

They took the tv time away from Bischoff which led to him not buying it and then they sold it to WWE on bargain bin sale just to get rid of it. If WCW had a tv deal Bischoff would have bought it and WCW would still exist today likely. The difference was time warner didn't want it then. Khan had billions so he can make AEW exist for a long time even if it doesn't make a dime. That ultimately is the difference.

@mecha2001 Russo could bridge the two, but I get your point. He went off the rails at WCW and TNA. Would work better with a real wrestling guy. He was able to pop ratings at WCW/TNA but not build something sustainable. My point being, all the big creatives in wrestling had weaknesses and big failures. Russo isn't unique in that regard. Bischoff and Hogan in TNA was a disaster. Yet, Bischoff was the mastermind behind the best angle ever imo. Cornette was on the creative team pre-Russo/Attitude Era when WWF was putting out garbage and WCW was taking over. So was Pritchard. Vince McMahon oversaw multiple periods of decline in WWF. And ya, AEW is literally what would happen if you let the dirt sheets run a wrestling company. It's boring, and the talents beat themselves up doing this crazy stuff for nothing. The Bischoff/WCW & Russo/McMahon Attitude Era was far safer for their talents and more successful. It's confounding what AEW is doing. Khan would be much better served having a creative team book and just simply fund it. I have no idea why he can deligate in his other ventures but refuses to with AEW.
