Eric Cartman is interviewed by Julie Rovner on NPR and answers the Proust Questionnaire. You can listen to the original interview right here: www.npr.org/templates/story/st...
I love how the voice actor for Cartman wasn’t fully in character in the beginning, but once he got to make some cracks he fully fell into the vibe of Cartman.
"What would you like to do for a living when you grow up?" "Eat stuff and play Xbox." This was a joke in 2008. Mukbang/gaming channels are now both viable options.
David Smithson That's a good thing. These things tend to work better if there's a straight man to bounce off of. If I want to hear people laughing I'll watch the big bang theory.
my favorite thing about Eric as a character is he's not just self centered and hateful but is also a realistic depiction of a 10 year old. All of these answers sound like an actual child's view of the world
I love how the interviewer has willingly and completely suspended beliefe in this interview. She isn't speaking with the person who voices Cartman at any point, she is honestly speaking to Eric Cartmen the person, not the character. She was also professional throughout the whole thing as she would be with any other person. I really like that, and I respect her ability to do so.
I mean I’m super familiar with NPR but I imagine if NPR is collabing with South Park then they’d prolly use one of their radio personalities. It would make it more authentic as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if they did the questions like they always would. Again makes it more authentic
@WoodPileDenmark it really makes you think about cartman he could have had a happy life or if he helped Kyle have a better life he would get what he deserved for what he did as a kid It makes you think does cartman deserve to be homeless?
WOLDEN HOLF knows very well that; Eric Cartman, will never be Mr. Rogers' neighbor, especially with the attitude Eric Cartman carries around. Eric Cartman has gained a terrible influence to us all.
@@georgeshelton6281 that's humanity for u Good isnt funny Good is boring And that's not hyperbole Literally look thru history the killers and cartel leaders and Tyrants get remembered Same w entertainment the Walter whites and Tony sopranos and by extension. On a cartoon level eric cartman Sure some good ppl get remembered but usually they are just scientists of Nicolai Tesla types, creators/inventors .
"If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?" "Eric, all this is yours. I'm done, you're in charge now." xD
C C color has no effect on intelligence. They were exploited by Europeans with the slave trade that crippled them by getting rid of all their able workers, leaving them open for invasion.
@@stz9740 ... So Egypt doesn't exist? Also, isn't the Pyramid multi-story? IQ was created, and still used, to detect children with mental problems. If you still believe that high IQ meant anything, you must have took leisure on flexing in your little special ed class.
Minh Triet Vo Egypt was ruled by Arabs not Africans. The Pharoahs used African slaves, but they themselves were not sub Saharan African. Just look at present day Egypt, Morocco, Libya and Algeria. It’s all Middle Easterners. IQ is the most researched form of measuring intelligence that we currently have. It’s not used to develop mental problems. It’s used to assess intelligence. The American Psychological Association (APA) has concluded that there are significant variations in IQ across races.
In my teen years, the word “tampon” would send me into unexplainable fits of laughter. It just sounds so funny. Now as a full adult, it still makes me chuckle.
@Shao Yu Mai Wang Not sure how this could have been played on NPR stations because of the word 'assholes'. I believe the word 'ass' is allowed because it can also mean donkey, but the word 'asshole' would get them a hefty fine by the FCC if it were aired.
I was working a factory job in winter of 77-78 - Boone, NC - 3rd shift - and was scanning thru the radio dial looking for SOMETHING to keep me awake - and I landed on NPR. Could not believe it - a channel that was not dumb down. For the next 15 years I listened to NPR for hours - pretty much every day - contributed to their fund raising every year - until it finally dawned on me how biased against republicans they had become. I missed the old NPR.
His voice is the same as it is in the recent episodes. His voice has changed so much, probably partly because he is aging, but also because they are using better equipment. The voices in the early seasons for some of the kids like Wendy and Eric were too high pitched or something. The voices now are much clearer.
Oh that just dumb. It's got nothing to do with single mothers or parents! Cartmans spoilt rotten! I'm not in favour of harsh child rearing, but Cartman's never got a no in his life. That's the problem!
@@JaneDoe-ci3gj Single motherhood is actually the single greatest contributing factor to crime, mental illness, poverty, and drug use. Kids need both parents in their life, equality is a myth, and lesbians have the highest domestic abuse rate out of all race and sexuality mixes. I think 2 gay men actually have the lowest so this isnt even an anti gay thing. Sure there are great single moms out there but acting like they are all hard working angels is dumb as fuck. They chose the deadbeats who knocked them up and many are the most entitled people ive ever came across.
Parker knows his character so well he had an instant answer for any of her questions. I wonder what made Parker create such a narcissistic, sociopathic kid?
