The Idea is that since a large number of population in the area speak spanish its good to learn it to communicate. Since I was an immigrant and mostly live in an area with my race I had no need to learn it. I could have probably change my class course but I didn't know any better at the time and just went with what ever is recommended at the time. As long as its not mandatory I say its fine. The main language of the country is still english after all. It becomes a problem when the main language is some other language as the main language of the country like in west africa.

i'll say it again- sticking to facts and not emotional opinion- there is and has always been a reason that loans from China come with caveats that the country receiving the loan cannot discuss the terms publicly. It is called predatory lending. The terms don't allow for repayment. Then you are at Chinas mercy and hoping for loan forgiveness, for even another favor. You never become free of the loan. Western countries have their faults too, but this is how China moves.

My family has lived around many races of people and the people from China have been the nicest most forthcoming and generous I've meet. The next people who we grew up with were Jewish and they were so nice never mean or called us African kids any bad names, we would have cookouts together. China is a very generous country, always taking the risk for the sake of helping others. I am not a Chinese, but I come from China's neighboring country the Philippines, so take my word for it.
