Yea but i kinda liked it when healing in noita was almost unheard of. Now you can healed by beeing shot at !!!! Ppl with 2k hp were gods to regular minas
I had a run where I wanted to cash in at sky altar, but had no levitatium. So I grabbed a circle of freezing wand and used it to spray myself some ice platforms. Never felt so 300iq before.
One thing you could have mentioned in the video is how to use the Return spell to enter the portal at the bottom of a stage, drop a wand you've found and then pop back into the previous stage to continue exploring. This is why if I can get Trigger > Return early on I always make a wand of it so it covers both the entrance and exits to Holy Mountains to give me more options for wand tinkering
I just thought of combining those today, it would be even better if you had a distant cast + return, because you could use that to get past almost any obstacle you liked.
Oof, just happened to me, never knew this interaction. Was leaving holy mountain with chaotic poly and my own homunculus killed me right after i transformed.
@@cybisz2883 Just a note on fighting the Dragon with Freeze Field: You can freeze and kick him to do massive damage (it may take a couple kicks to kill him), but he doesn't stop moving like Steve does, he only turns blue. So be very careful that he doesn't bite you after you freeze him and before you kick him, as his bite will likely instakill you.
Maybe for a quick tutorial, look at how opening and closing the inventory resets the wand, so that you can avoid recharging altogether and save wand space by putting trivial spells together (teleport and all-seeing eye, can always recharge wand early to avoid casting eye).
hey i got noita a week or so ago and i've binge watched all of your videos. thank you, i feel powerful with knowledge. UPDATE: 2 hours later i got my first win. Shredded the final boss with a spark bolt trigger wand.
I started watching your videos a week or two ago, just started playing, and I have to say… You make great content. Very informative, clear and concise, and entertaining to boot. Great channel! I hope you keep the uploads going, because I’ll be watching!
I've seen the pictures a couple of times on your stream, but this makes it much easier to put that knowledge in to use! Keep up the good work and stay moist.
Teleportatium potion will work too! it's a bit trickier but it's definitely another option. my favourite way has to be long distance cast teleport bolt because you can just shoot it right through the wall. I tend to balls up the tele bolt from time to time trying to get the right angle. I should really check the accuracy of the wand first before trying it. :^)
you could have mentioned that after collapsing if you didn't anger gods before you can destroy anything on the collapsed holy mountain and gods won't be angry at you. Anger appears only on still working holy mountains.
If someone still needs this info a year late: Its possible to kill him with a very well timed tablet kick to the head. Must be well timed from above (the little ledge) to not activate his matter eater. I recommend training this for at least an hour with a mod. Alternatively, use a homing modifier and a rock. Make sure to fire it before he sees you. Also, you can use ambrosia at the slope down to the perk altar and kill him with a normal slow shooting spark bolt. Make sure to reapply ambrosia and don't move. He will slowly eat away at the ground after getting close to you. A last resort can be running away or rerolling the perks for peace. Managed to do that once, pretty epic.
A pretty goos technique that i have used a lot is going to the tree and picking up the wiggling egg, then throwing it at the right statue corner. Until now this has always worked perfectly to get myself out of the first holy mountain, and killing steve can be done like explained in the other video
That's not a bad idea, although I like to save that egg so that I can get its worm blood that allows you to see in dark places, like that flooded cave under the tree to the west of the coal mines, which contains health pickups.
The first attempt right after reading this, the nest came down and I got pwn'd by the worm The 3rd time finally made it, threw the egg and the worm just clipped through the walls and was gone without leaving a hole x-D
Keep up the good content man, your streams and videos are great, Noita is a great game but not the most friendly for new players, and you helped me out a lot when I started playing.
Is the player hitbox 3by5? I noticed that players only take 15 dps from being in a freezing vapor cloud, and vapor does 1 dps for every pixel touching a hitbox.
A good video would be ways to dig in Noita. I personally like the earth essence and evil eye combo it’s a guaranteed spawn and all you need is a way to get over the cliff and something to dig to the earth essence.
yeah if you spawn with dynamite you can just throw it into the cliff to climb it, then use it to break into the earth essence for the tannerkivi and then use the tannerkivi to make notches in the tree with more dynamite to go get evil eye, it's really convenient and easy but it takes so fucking long and then you get noita'd in the mines lmao. probably like 1/3 of the times ive gone to the effort of getting that combo i end up forgetting about the tannerkivi earthquake kick and killing myself with a ceiling collapse lol
Recently got god run and b4 it got good i used a double cast nukes twice by removing target dummy then firing nukes at exit and taking cover behind perk pedestal. It barely worked but did.
Great video, you show an image with hit boxes/marks for where you anger the gods, is there on all the way around the holy mountain(i.e. other side)? if so do you have another image showing it?
So if a polymorphed Stevari won't count towards the 3 Stevari kills to trigger Skoude, would killing other Stevaris in for example the Tower count? And if they do, do you first need to anger the gods for the count to start or is it possible to get Skoude immediately the first time you anger the gods?
as far as I know as soon as you kill one of them, even in the tower, you anger the gods and start the count. as such if you were to kill 3 steves' in the tower you would have a scott waiting for you at the holy mountain. I'm pretty sure that's how it works but I haven't tested it personally.
@@Riichrd it's not worth doing if you ask me, you basically force yourself into a "stuck" position and abuse the anti-stuck mechanic in the game and slowly eat through the mountain. You have to do it successfully quite a few times to get all the way through.
In one of your pervious videos you told us to ask questions we wanted to see answered So could you make a video on what kind of wands you are looking for early on in a run? So I saw your video where you explained what kind of perks to focus on and that early on health pickups especially when you are newer to the game are the key. But now Im wondering what wands you wanna look for because I know You can probably craft a really op combo by the third holy mountain, but me, the scrub, I don't know all the "exploits" or combos or whatever. I can get explosion or fire immunity, but everytime I do, I don't feel like the run is won. I don't feel broken yknow. What I've found has got my run going is usually a shuffle wand with good shooting speed and slapping on it like 4 spark bolts or a getting lucky with a 3 cast wand where I put 3 of the same spell on it. Again Im talking about lvl 1-3, maybe 4, because once I get past those It means that usually I have already found a OP wand and Im doing good for myself. But what Im wondering is what other ways are there? Like what are other ez, noob strats that I can use.
Now i aint Drunken slam but a example would be A trigger with explosion (around 150 on hit dmg) Droper bolt witha trigger can be good as well (thought harder to hit) Generaly speaking if you have a multicast a chainsaw and any spell then just get a wand with non shuffle and good Cast delay put the chainsaw then the multicast as well as your spell and you got a rapid fire wand Early on a simple Chain bolt can atleast deal with enemys up into the mushroom biome so you can explore there to get some good wand parts Freeze charge can be incredibly strong thought in the 3rd area it runs into some trouble and hissi base got some robotic enemys too Dont be afraid to just use limitet use spells like magic missile to fight if it is not your only way to dig (and you can use trigger spells to deliver slower or low range spells to the enemy) If you dont get anything at all bouncing ball with heavy spread can get some rapid fire uses thought you need dmg up or speed up or homing anything like that to get actual viable damage out of it flying everywhere Hope you dont mind me chipping in
No-shuffle wands with enough slots to make something technical and enough stats to be usable. A trigger can deliver any projectile straight into an enemy reliably, usually way more useful than shuffles
a thing i recenly found out, which you didnt mention is that you can use return together with long distance cast, which will also let you use it to teleport around the hitbox
tbf long-distance cast is basically a trigger anyway, so return + trigger covers the general idea of return + long-distance cast that said it is mildly more convenient, since you can just shoot it through the wall instead of carefully lining up the shot
Wow 3 new tings i learned. 2Black h. holy m. exit will come in handy. Poly the steve to not get the big steve. Player hitbox was a lie when enemy projectiles are the thing but for colape its nice xD I do lots of nodamage no perk runs and black hole was a bit of low tear spell so far
@@burritodog3634 think he made a video on it but when you get stuck if you spam wasd the game will deleate all the pixles around you you use the tablet to get stuck and do it over and over by the exit statue and you get out eventualy takes a bit tho
@@burritodog3634 never said it wouldent just said you could without haveing to get black hole or lumi tho if you have a good hour to kill you could try to dig around the trigger lines
Here is an interesting wand combo I've been using: Long Distance Cast - Teleporting Cast - Gamma - Wand Refresh - and then a Touch of Gold at the end of the wand. My current wand needs about 4 Add Mana's to pull it off, but it's pretty crazy. It immediately kills the nearest enemy with a trick-kill. The Long Distance Cast is to keep from accidentally casting it at your feet. There is a danger though - if a monster is right on you the AOE will hit you. Thankfully my current run has Saving Grace lol
technically. there are trigger points for it, and I do believe from memory that you can either dig around them or even use invisibilium to get the orb without summoning the pit boss
@@user-ws8sn2ym4r I can say at least from anecdotal experience that invisibilium does work. If I get it on floor 1, I always grab that orb and I never see the funny squid
@@user-ws8sn2ym4r yeah unlike the temple it does work, I'd imagine deliberately by the developers so that you can snatch that orb if you pick up some invisibilium between floors one to 3
