I finally bought one about 3 weeks ago with contoured handles. What a beauty. I still love my Ka-bars and now I understand the difference with the hollowed out handle in the Beckers. Changes the balance and gives you more weight on the blade for chopping. They're both excellent knives. BTW in my last comment I mentioned people had broken the Beckers. But as a retired Carpenter I know 99% of the time it's misuse of the tool.
Looks great. I mainly wanted to see if this was a real Full Tang knife. Years ago when I bought a Becker BK 10 I didn't realize the handle was hollowed out. Recently I have seen a few videos where the knives have broken inside the handle so I no longer consider them to be Full Tang. I saw a video from about 10 years ago of a Becker BK 10 where the knife handle was not hollowed out it was full just like the one you have.
Very cool! I have done the same with a BK 16, 9, and 10. Would love to see some picture of your 2. dward5500@gmail.com is my email if you are up for sending a picture. Thanks for watching!
You are definitely correct Dan. I have replaced all of the handle scales on my ESEE knives (Izula II and 3 from Amazon). I also used TKC Architect to build my 4 and 6. I am also glad to see that ESEE has finally began providing their 3D scales. I just wish that ESEE would put 90-degree spines on ALL of their blades!!
@@ochocobushcraft1742 Hey Dan. Well I have the ESEE 4 with OD Canvas Micarta from TKC, Izula S35VN in the same, ESEE 3 in both S35VN and 1095 on the way in the same from TKC and I have a JG3, RB3, AGK and an Izula 2. No change on those handles. Will be looking into an ESEE 6 here soon. Just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Would like a 4 in the S35VN as well. Have a great day!! As you can tell I enjoy ESEE knives as well. Great users!!
You don't have a video by any chance of how to install the knife connection, leather backer, one or two with fire still loop to the back of an ESEE6 or ESC four by any chance?
No, sorry. The first time I put one on I ended up calling The Knife Connection for help. Once you do it, it's easy. But first time can be frustrating. Give them a call.
@@ochocobushcraft1742 OK I will give them a call. Thank you so much. I looked everywhere for a video. No one has made one yet. I figured if anyone did it would've been you.
@@ochocobushcraft1742 I ended up figuring it out with some trial and error. I am legally blind and I did not realize that there is bigger and smaller. Screw heads and I was grabbing the smaller screwheads instead of the big ones but now it's all together and I'm a happy camper..
