Great guide. I just started back playing 2 days ago with a new character. I haven’t played in over a year and never really got into the end game so I have no clue what you were talking about when naming enemies 😂. I’ve been doing a warden healer and I’m sure the veteran dungeons and raids get extremely difficult at time but at level 28 I feel like I don’t even need to heal in the dungeons I’ve done. Really been enjoying the game so far tho just can’t wait till my healing actually matters.
Haha yeah, that is how it goes. I also joke that doing normals is like Who’s Line is it Anyway? Where the rules are made up and the points don’t matter. Unfortunately it’s a cliff when you get to vet, but start with the old dungeons and you’ll be good to go.
@@Nightharrow yeah a buddy of mine who made a new character to level with me queued as a tank while being a dps just so I had something to do. Normal dungeons are just so easy with minimal healing. I watched your warden healer guide and I understand the frustration with people moving around all the time now😂.
@@Nightharrow also I wanted to ask. Is there a healer set you’d recommend for new healers. I don’t know if I’ll get into raids or not as it’s just me and one other person I play with but we enjoy the dungeons and when we get to the harder ones I’d like to have a gear set. The only one I know of is the sanctuary set but I’m sure there’s probably a better one. Something not to complicated to get because I have no experience in the crafting department😬.
@@huntercrawford5556so for healers, you can actually keep everyone alive without those +healing sets, so it is typical to instead run healing sets that increase damage. Spell Power Cure is a great example and all you have to do is heal your party. It drops from White Gold Tower. If you have gold, Powerful Assault is purchasable and another great one to use. Before you can get those, I would just use whatever you find. You can farm SPC at level 45 and PA body/jewelry pieces shouldnt be that expensive, so you could run PA on jewelry and two pieces on body. Symphony of Blades is still a nice monster set.

Thanks for the info Nightharrow. My problem is finding a build and getting bored with it by lvl 25. I probably should just play the game and try out the various abilities and weapons and then rebuild a tank after I hit 50. The tough part about doing that is I feel like I'm starting over again after hitting 50 and I need to learn how to tank. If I level up as a tank, I learn the 'how' along the way. I guess either way I will have to figure out how to tank. What is your favorite build and why?
I get that for sure. So my favorite thing to do in mmos is large group content, and for that, nothing beats a necro. Necro Rez makes you into a hero 🦸♂️ If you are more dps inclined, you can’t beat an arcanist right now and if you wanted to tank and dps, this is probably the best way to do it. Stack enough survival to not die, then go dps with the rest. Use the shield beam for extra safety and get big numbers. If just staying alive is your thing, I recommend the dk here with its magma shell or a sorc for their wicked survivability. Sounds like arc might be your best bet if I’m reading you right.
@Nightharrow Arcanist has been a blast, lol. Have a lvl 25 tank. I need to get more dps in my build for sure. Your general tanking guide got me to roll a Redguard. Thanks man. I'll keep grinding.

I just started tanking as a sorc and taunt is in a weird spot. I have 3 taunts on my main tanks bar because all the taunts do something else that is super nice. -10% damage and immobilize from frost clench. Damage over time and a synergy from inner fire. Major and minor vulnerability from pierce armor. 😂
Yeah, it’s tricky but you can get major and minor vuln from your ice wall and then several skills for major vuln. So typically you just need clench. The synergy on the inners though is nice.
Archdruid is a good set, it just doesn’t work right half the time is the only problem. Like you will heavy attack and nothing will happen. This also isn’t meant to be a complete list of everything that’s good, that would take a lot longer. The reason no sugar skulls is that recovery is more important. You want to be able to cast more abilities and so recovery not max resources is most important. Sugar skulls are not bad, they just aren’t the best option.

I had problems getting this video exported and uploaded so when I saw your message I was afraid it had done something weird. Last week it was making me sound like a chipmunk. lol. So I panicked there... seems fine?
They changed wall so they have to be chilled, which you are not going to be able to keep up with just wall. So you either need ele sus still or someone else in the group needs to do it for you. Seems like something you could definitely do in a trial setting, if others are helping out.
I can hardly wait for the next patch. Wield Soul will be a magicka pull for everyone, and I will just use it as my main taunt as well. Pull+taunt+1000 mag and stam on use+major vitality... no need for another taunt on my Sorcerer tank. :) And finally an aoe vacuum as a skill, so we don't need Rushing Agony and the likes = more set freedom.
Haha it is going to be great, but I do have some bad news… chains/pulls when they taunt, don’t last like they are supposed to, so after a few seconds if you don’t hard taunt, they have a tendency to run off and kill a healer. But it will still be good, just not quite as awesome.
@@Nightharrow What? :o Is this a bug or so? Because it says the taunt lasts for 15s, and I see the debuff for 15s. But I noticed that a chain taunt can not be refreshed unlike other taunts. So you can only taunt them once the 15s have elapsed, which can be risky.
@Gleandra yeah, it’s a bug, but one I don’t expect them to fix. I had the issue of in IA with trying to use chains as taunts. Had the same issue with it on pts because I had the same thought as you.

Hey Kyle! So that kind of depends on what you mean by best. The fastest way is doing Blackrose Prison. You just get a dps friend and you chain in all the adds for them while they aoe. You die at the end of the second round and then repeat it. Have xp gear on is a good idea and torugs pact will give you even more from your weapon. Best way to learn is by tanking things. Random normals are great for this, and I’ve even done some trials, although that can be hard as sustain is rough at lower levels. Best way solo is to just go mostly dps until you hit 50, then respec. Level heavy armor and important skills some along the way. Happy to give me details, just let me know what you are thinking.
@@II_Ncognito_II for leveling I would do a mix so you can level them all. Lean towards more medium/light for leveling, but I go all heavy right now at end game. Never know though, that could change, and sometimes you might want to run light or medium, so good to have them leveled while it make sense (for recovery).

It really can be a problem I know. Ive dealt with it before, and continue to deal with it if I’m being honest. It might be that recommended something different than score pushers or that I suggested a necro Rez is a great addition to the game, whatever offends the toxic end gamers. The first time I tried to tank vSS HM I wiped the group for 2 hrs. People where being jerks and then they proceeded to mercilessly make fun of and meme on me for a very long time. If you are pc/na though and looking for a place to hang out and learn though, come by the discord. Or even if you’re not pc/na feel free to come by.
All reinforced is a horrid recommendation, dk has higher block mitigation from a passive so sturdy is wayyy better, head and legs infused, chest reinforced and the rest sturdy, masters snb will get you to cap on resistance
Yeah, you could totally do that. You shouldn’t need resistance cp in that case either. One of the many ways to get to resistance cap. Lots of things you can do. Another is to run masters destro front bar for the reduced cost of destructive clench and the extra spell power also makes several of the weapon/spell power heals even better. And the 10% reduced damage from major main is nice (also brittle and minor main).
Relying on Master's S&B to get to resistance cap isn't really a great idea. It lasts for 5 seconds, and more advanced players shouldn't be poking that much because there's a lot of other buffs/debuffs that should be kept up. Less advanced players will invariably forget to keep up that resistance buff, and end up taking quite a bit more damage during its downtime.
It may have been better to say "put reinforced on the chest and legs always. Then add more reinforced to push you towards resistance cap. Put sturdy on the remaining pieces. If you tend to bash alot with a TT build... get your bash cost as close to 600 as you can." Or not.. I'm just a noob.
It's just another Alcast quality player Copy pasting all 100% of their info from someone else. There's no originality from the player base anymore the last time I saw any originality is when I made my Olo Tank build the release day of Summerset and then Tank club stole it for their website. 6 years of watching 90% of the player base just copy paste from ESO logs then make videos like this based on the copied info in their discord and talk like they have any clue what they're waffling on about.
I take it you are unaware that Alcast is actually a very skilled player, and has a bunch of worlds first/server first achievements then. His guides being years out of date is the issue most people have with his work, not his skill as a player. Sorry to hear you are the last creative player in eso, I’m sure that’s a burden for you, but hey, at least you have the comments section of RU-vid to keep you company.
Alcast hasn't had a worlds first since 2014/15 prior to the release of thieves guild, the guy is a joke who makes builds then wears costumes and changes to the meta sets to film his gameplay videos for his build videos. Lets be real you're whole video is information you copy pasted from whatever trial guild Discord you're in and you're discord copy pasted the info from a different guild they were in. It's mad to think even with all this information you've shared if we use you as an example you've copied all the supposed meta strats and meta builds and you're still only very average.@@Nightharrow
