Why do so many people think lowering he rim would make women's basketball so much better? Most women play on the ground. Lowering the rim will allow more women to dunk, but it will still be weak little jumps and soft little two-handed stuffs for most of them. Once you've seen men flying high and jamming, the opportunity to watch a weak Brittney Griner dunk isn't going to entice me start watching more women's basketball, nor will it make me more likely enjoy the little bit I do.

@@MarkMay-cr6bv it won’t fixed the WNBA but it’s a change that the WNBA needs to see how the game itself will be. The NBA made numerous changes within the league to see what worked and what didn’t before settling on the rules now. The WNBA hasn’t made a single change ever since the league started. Sure a weak BG dunk isn’t going to change anything….BUT if you look at all the dunks throughout the WNBA history can somebody that isn’t name BG dunk more then not only twice in there careers. Also look at how long it took for someone not name BG to dunk a ball.

​@jordankennerknecht4929 The only problem is that lowering the rims doesn't guarantee women are going to be inclined to dunk more. Keep in mind that just because the wnba would lower the rims, it doesn't mean they'd do that for women's college basketball, women's high school basketball, peewee basketball and etc. Therefore, you'd be lowering the rims to encourage more dunking from women who have never developed the ability to dunk before.
