It really doesn't take that much time once you have a set up. 20 seconds to weigh the beans, electric grinder is real quick, 30 seconds to tamp it, 35 seconds for the shot to pull. Done. Espresso gets such a bad rap for being time consuming when you could easily wait way longer for drip coffee to brew.

@@racertv9 But I drink 5-7 large cups of Coffee on mornings so I rather have lots of Coffee ready for me when I finnish a cup. I don't want to be making Coffee all the time. Besides it's less time consuming when you're able to do something else like brush your teeth, turn on computer, make some bread etc while the Coffee is dripping. When the Coffee is ready I can just relax sitting on my computer drinking Coffee without needing to make more of it.

@@BrawndoQC Maybe you've had a bit too much coffee lol, you're a lot more aggressive than you need to be. I'm not dissin on it, I respect it. For me, I just like to enjoy the simple things in life. Never had gas station coffee but you seem to have a personal gripe with it

It takes less energy than you might think, and takes less time than it seems as well. Very relaxing to do, and it makes the end product all the more satisfying :)

Honestly, using a bottomless portafilter is a great way to test how skilled you are as a barista. If you tamping was slightly off or your grounds weren’t exactly right, you could blatantly see it as the espresso begins to drop. This was immaculate. Great job.

I was going to make fun of this, and say “I’ll just go buy one in less time” or something. But then I remembered the simple joys of packing a pipe full of carefully selected Burley and Virginia tobacco, lighting it and enjoying it all the way to the bottom. Most people would say “just have a cigarette you pretentious douche” because they don’t know the pleasure of time taken to enjoy a hobby So I won’t mock. Here in the states people will wait 30 minutes for a horrible shot of espresso diluted with 5 times the milk and 12 times the sugar. Or you could make your own for a tenth of the price in under 2 minutes, and drink delicious espresso.

There's nothing too far about this video. Perfect grind, tamping, extraction texture. Only step I do more is steamed milk for a latte. When you get good at it you pretty much beat all the cafe places in town because you tune it to your own taste.

Honestly, to mention all the people getting worked up that someone puts time into something they enjoy, I find it inspiring that someone out there enjoys something so much that they take this kind of time out of their day just to enjoy making it, and then being able to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
