I was a porn addict since I was 10 years old. Decades of addiction later and I’m free of that bondage. Pardon the pun! I went through hell as I was using drugs alongside viewing porn so could binge for 24 hours straight. I lost 2 wives and several jobs due to my addiction. I got clean with the use of psychedelics, intense psychosexual therapy and going to SAA meetings. Trying to quit watching porn has been the hardest battle I’ve ever had to fight. I still relapse every now and then. But I learn so much from each one. I am still in awe that the most potent drug I’ve ever been hooked on is free to literally anyone with an internet connection. This presentation is so thorough and so relevant right now. I can relate to all of it. Thank you for bringing your light into this world. And good luck to anyone out there struggling in secret with this.
I've been addicted to sex and porn since that age too. It's a shame our legal system, psychological industry and American society in general just want to use shame, humiliation and the threat of legal action as treatment.
Thanks for beginning with a compassionate overview of why people watch porn. Many of us go there because we fantasise about love, affection, touch and acceptance and are too inhibited by our fears to negotiate for those things in real life. Porn became an almost 30yr addiction for me because of this.
You’re welcome. I am sorry you are struggling with porn addiction and I appreciate you watching the video. You can find videos on addiction at: ru-vid.comsearch?query=addiction
Thanks for this. As I begin dating again after leaving a porn addict 4 years ago, I ask upfront about drug and alcohol use. This talk is a wake-up call to include porn in the conversation.
A woman here, free of bondage of porn addiction thank you God, my therapist and my determination to heal. From age 12-28 I compulsively used it when I didn't have any healthy coping mechanisms for my mental health and environmental issues. I had previous partners and even girlfriends who were sickly porn addicted, so my environment wasn't ripe for healing. I'm so glad I'm free and able to repair my poor brain that was altered too young
Congratulations on your incredible journey to healing and freedom from addiction! Your determination and the support from God, your therapist, and your own resilience have brought you through a challenging path. It’s inspiring to hear about your strength and commitment to recovery. Wishing you continued success and peace as you move forward. I was objectified by a porn addicted man I was involved with for years, and I had no idea why he couldn't see me as a person. Honestly, it took so long to recover from the distortion and shame I experienced during that relationship. I allowed him to take so much of what should have been sacred to me; my sexual energy and my spirit along with it. I kind of hate him for that. Peace.
Sorry to read about your harmful experience. I hope you can deal with your experience to overcome any harmful collateral damage that may have an impact on future relationship(s). I hope you are doing ok.
what was her payback for engaging in the relationship for YEARS? Her lack of honest trap her and will be repeated in future relationship. THIS IS WHY hundreds and thousand of women engage actively in abusive relationship.
@@maximme I did not realize he was looking at me that way. I was under the impression that he loved me as a whole entity. It was only in hindsight that I came to this conclusion, years after I left him for knowing something was making me feel like trash. If that makes any sense.
It's only an hour long. I've been chipping away at it for a few days now. Longer videos I forget. I keep coming back to yours. You bring up a lot of good points (important facts) to remember
I think this is a very good video containing invaluable information to learn and or empower to address habits or understand behaviours or both. Humbly and respectfully, I offer that Dr. Snipes’ very low cut, cleavage revealing attire, could be a trigger to people struggling with a porn addiction. I’m not trying to be a prude or oppressive, just my two bits. The video didn’t make a judgement but I will, porn is probably the most destructive thing to one’s health, relationships, in addition to destroying the foundations of families, and society.
Being newly married and not wanting to look at adult media content is something I’m placing in God's hands and the power and love of my wife. “It does change your gray matter in the brain and as a young man who binged adult porn for years it does mess you up”
Thank you so much for watching. I have a video called “Love You, Hate the Porn” which I think might benefit you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--TYFPKkAxm8.html Please let me know if it’s what you are looking for. Thank you!

I've been on low dose naltrexone and it has helped with controlling impulses by blunting the pleasure response from things like porn, it also reduces neuroinflammation by upregulating glial cells etc

Thank you for the video. Is there data that provides the most common or ‘top 5’ emotional needs being sought after from a Fantasy Addiction? This may help to identify them if they are beneath our awareness.
As someone pursuing social work this video was really helpful and helping me understand the many different perspectives and variables of pornography Thanks 😊
Naltrexone, a medication typically used to reverse opioid overdoses, has been found to have some interesting effects on the brain's reward system that could potentially be beneficial for individuals struggling with hypersexuality or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) related to sex. How Naltrexone Works: 1. Blocks Endogenous Opioids: Naltrexone has been found to block the endogenous opioids in our brain. These are the chemicals that give us a sense of reward or pleasure when we engage in certain activities, such as eating, exercising, or sexual behavior. 2. Reduces Reward Sensation: By blocking these endogenous opioids, naltrexone can reduce the sense of reward or pleasure that an individual gets from engaging in certain behaviors. This could potentially help individuals who are struggling with hypersexuality or OCD related to sex by making these behaviors less rewarding and therefore less compelling. Potential Benefits of Naltrexone: 1. Reduced Compulsion: If the sexual behaviors are less rewarding, the individual may feel less compelled to engage in them. This could potentially help to reduce the frequency of these behaviors and the distress that they cause. 2. Increased Control: By reducing the sense of reward, naltrexone could potentially help individuals to gain more control over their behaviors. This could be particularly beneficial for individuals with OCD, who often struggle with feelings of being out of control. However, it's important to note that while these potential benefits are promising, more research is needed to fully understand the effects of naltrexone on hypersexuality and OCD related to sex. As always, individuals should consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new medication. Feel free to utilize DocSnipes AI for any questions or concerns you might have. Now , I don't know but I am sharing this thinking it may help me a bit in any way possible . I got addicted to porn when i was quite young , and i guess i was very active and i couldn't control my urges. I think something might have triggered me . I usually watch static porn and imagine them being my partner because deep down all i want is love , to be loved . I am still trying to get over with this so i can live freely and become the version of me thats best for myself .
You should also address arousal escalation, for example my ex boyfriend went from heterosexual porn to watch transexual porn and gay porn, may be he had been this way all the time I don't know, or maybe he consumed porn this much and it got to the point he needed the extra stuff.
I’d think the porn led him astray. Without the porn I would bet he would not have went that way. But somehow he viewed it (the non hetero stuff), probably as a ‘feed! Then perhaps looked more and more. Porn is bad no matter what anybody says.

This is an outstanding video, thanks. But what would you say to someone who does not view porn, yet has constant and unwanted sexual thoughts and obsessions?
Well O.K. better safe. Of course playing it safe is a very good priority. I avoided things I consider bad experiences. Naturally people who are not willing to see eye to eye are in no way likely to. Good luck. Well wishes.

Thank you for sharing what you’re going through. It sounds like you’re dealing with a lot of discomfort and trying to understand how different factors might be affecting your health. While joint, hip, and knee pain can have many causes, it’s important to keep in mind that the connection between watching porn and physical pain like joint issues is not straightforward or typically related. Joint pain can stem from various factors, including inflammation, injury, or medical conditions. It would be helpful to consult with a healthcare provider who can assess your symptoms and guide you toward appropriate treatment. If you’re also concerned about the impact of long-term habits on your mental or physical health, seeking support from a therapist could be beneficial. Addressing both physical and emotional health is key to overall well-being. I’d be grateful if you were to share what you found most useful from the video. Also, if you're interested in more tips on how to overcome this or if you want to explore my video library, you can use my AI: allceus.com/AskDocSnipes. It's been 10 months since I watched porn. I'm getting pain in my heart, muscle twitching. I'm worried. Will I get better on my own? I'm feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack. I've always had this pain.
Yes, one has to stop watching porn. I appreciate you watching the video. What did you find most useful from it? Other videos you might be interested in can be found at ru-vid.comsearch?query=addiction
@@DocSnipes I started studying lesbian porn in order to pleasure my wife. I figure why not learn from the best source. She's been very happy for quite some time!
Ok , PORNOGRAPHY IS NOT 🚫 BAD , NEITHER IS SEX, AND PEOPLE CAN & OR DO SOMETIMES USE PORN. TO GET AROUSED... SEX IS OK. SEX SHOULD NOT BE SHAMED... SEX NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT LIKE ANYTHING ELSE..IN ANY RELATIONSHIP... SEX IS NATURAL

Thank you doctor for your great channel and excellent topic * i have arrived to the conclusion when the issue of pornography surfaces _ that such addictions as in many cases is like a ( jelly ) fish with the many toxic tentacles * once inoculated the recovery and cure is extremely painful and the marks do remain like a tattoo _ and so is compared to an octopus with also eight tentacles full of suction cups _ that once it gets a hold of the mind through the images in porn content _ is ( not ) an easy task to came out of the ( labyrinth ) or maze _ becomes a battle for freedom * in my particular case _ since an early age _ i had a tendency to the feel good deception of self gratification * and other aspects that also come into view with pornography addiction _ in my personal life because i do have elderly under my daily care _ serves me as a guardrail to avoid during the day time hours engaged in such ( but ) make no mistake _ is an strangle * better said than done _ and yes * porn is a very ( sticky ) addiction very difficult to remove _ and the withdrawal symptoms like a drug addiction as well _ therefore i remain in the fight and wrestling match with pornography * gets to be like a back and forth dilemma * hated and loved war _ once again * thank you for your professional advice into this very painful subject 👏
