HELLO MY BEAUTIFUL ESTIE BESTIES. I hope some of the info in this vid helps you out on future interviews in the cosmo/estie space. Thumbs up + LMK if it did! :) Side-note my hair was bugging me so much (rectangle vibes)/ I did not feel cute at all so I almost didn't upload this, BUT if it helps one person feel better in an interview, it's worth it! When you did your practical did you use their product line or did you bring your own? Do you know what’s typical or does that differ from places you interview at?

Sierra Baker it varies state to state so your school will probably get you prepared! We brought our own kits

I’ve worked in the salon doing hair for years, but I’m switching to esthetician work. I have an interview in a week. In the salon we always wore all black for the interview being that was the dress code in the salon. Would all black be okay to wear for an esthetician job interview?

Is the beauty industry run by “younger” people. Were there times your manager was younger than you and did it create conflict? I’m 27 starting in October with a business degree and were challenged with male authority. Women are fine. If she’s younger does that cause issues?

You could!! I feel like you could also check in over email and ask what the recommended attire is- just in case it’s more casual so you don’t stand out :)
