11 Words to describe this Fragrance, after I tried it: *Gothic, icy-rose, mint, geosmin, petrichor, rain, fresh, gloomy, introvert, unique, inoffensive* photorealistic and superb fragrance.
Love the fact eldo seems like a company that genuinely enjoy making fragrances, from the names / concepts and stories behind them but not only that. The fact the also make really good quality scents as well , not just novelty for novelty sake. You did a stellar job reviewing this , it really peaked my interest 👌
I do honestly think that they are hit and miss, but I appreciate the range they have. Some classic amber ones, nice fresh minty ones but them BAM....Rien, Secretions Magnifiques and this one just stick out. They are fun and cool to talk about. :)
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my password. I would love any tips you can give me.
I love this so much on my second bottle. Left it alone for about ten months and I feel like the incense is stronger. If I am going to a big noisy, sweaty place with loads of people I wear it with Portrait of a Lady which feels criminal but is so good. I never want to be without it.
Pepper, rose, damp earth and an incense/woody background. One of the most accomplished from the house (along Fat Electrician and Amourette). As "safe" as Fat Electrician in my opinion. I discovered I was a rose fan with this. The great thing I came to discover about rose is that it's not flowery, it ads sweetness without being sweet and mixes divinely with woods. This is almost perfect for me.
I think it smells very lovely and unique! I once owned a hayflower soap and this fragrance reminds me of that scent. Other than that i could not discribe it any better or compare it to anything.
Just watched it tonight Thomas. Really wanted to hear you pronounce the full name of the scent......but you chickened out hahaha. It really did seem a difficult scent to pin down and put into words what you felt. Makes me want to try it now.
I got this as a sample, tried it, and legit hated it. The next day I put it on again, and just “dealt with it.” By the end of the day, I kept getting hints of it (it lasts VERY long,) but it smelled a bit different. Then later it smelled more different. It was like this everlasting scent that changed but stayed exactly the same as I first sprayed it, but now I loved it. In fact, it’s my favorite fragrance I’ve ever owned. I will say, I am somewhat newer to this, so now my bar is up so high, and I find that through the countless scents I’ve bought since then, I haven’t found one I like as much, or one that smells anything like it. I’m not someone that can afford something like Portrait of a Lady, so when I ask this, I’m hoping for something not quite that expensive: Is there anything AT ALL that smells like Hermann? Not exactly, but something similar? Maybe it has the unflowerly rose and pepper... or maybe the rose and that strong patchouli? Or a mix of them all?!? Please help. OR, is there something super complex and weird and PERFECT as this scent? Help!
I would try Othoniel Rosa by Diptyque, I fell in love with it recently, it has that super clean peppery rose you are looking for. Another one would be French Affair by Ex Nihilo. This one is so unique, if you like it that much? Stick to it!
Smelling the sample set and watching you describe them - this is such a strange one. I could wear it as a cold cure, I'm getting menthol or eucalyptus with cold rose. I don't know if I want to wear it but I want to be near it
I'ts just a royalty free abstract one I found online....eerm...the name escapes me as I've deleted it now. Oh it's here... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rGI-F0_oxpo.html
i would to see your opinion on ELDO the afternoon of a faun. a very woody smoky peppery fragrance with a chypre base. smells like a log cabin in winter🤩 i know you don’t like chypre fragrances but give this one a try if you haven’t.
This was actually the fragrance by them that piqued my interest, when I smelled it I was disappointing. It's still a very cool fragrance but not what I was expecting, there's a lot of immortelle in there which is my note of death. It's actually being discontinued too, maybe I should review it before it goes!
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews i have a sample of it, i think it’s a beautiful fragrance in the opening and mid, but the base notes are way to coumarin heavy for me. i would love for you to review it! the bottle is absolute gorg
