I agree that he made it a really big thing and he was very short tempered when it came to trying to defend himself. He should have definitely handled it better than he did. @@someone-fk6ux from what I know, I could be wrong, Dream hired a mod developer to make a mod that would boost content creation. Whether it be a better f3 menu, decreased particles, or better chunk rendering, he just asked them to make a mod that would increase the quality of his videos. The mod developer boosted drop rates cause that would speed up the long process of trading. Keep in mind, these are for challenges videos, not manhunts or speedruns, so cheating isn’t really that big of a deal as they are purely for entertainment and fun between his friends. The mod developer also made it applicable to the client side as they have single player challenges like shock collar streams. This ended up causing a problem as Dream didn’t know the developer had boosted drop rates, nor did he know it worked for singleplayer. Since he had no reason to possibly think he had any boosted drops on or would it have even worked for anything but servers, he spedrun with hacks without his knowledge. I could’ve been wrong numerous times, but I heavily suggest watching Karl Jobst’s video as he is the only credible source, due to the fact that Dream gave him EVERYTHING. Receipts and passwords. And even The Harvard Scientist’s and Developer’s identities.

@@jwmtlmb There's a few, but not many I haven't seen pretty promptly disproved by not only him recreating it, but others as well. Lots of the things were improbable and difficult, but not impossible. And he's explained most of his glitches as well, like the scaffolding and such. That said, I'd love to watch one that gets into some of the tricks that don't have an openly given explanation, I just haven't seen any myself that weren't clarified.

Well its kind of a common thing with speedrunners. Cheaters are often people who have the capability of getting a record. The more you know a game the easier it is to get away with cheating and it creates a superiority complex that makes them want to “be the best”
