I wonder if this is what Etho's nightmares are like.

Aw you should have been like "Ok I have no script so I can finally do a face reveal." Then you would do a count down and when it hits 0 the screen just reads "ERROR: Face Reveal not found." It would have been the perfect prank!

Even if it wasn't pure vanilla, this was one of the most creative and entertaining episodes I've seen in a LONG time! Awesome!

Dude it's a piece of art. Epic episode, and super spaz at the end... Awesome. The multiple ethos with the catchphrases was the best idea ever.

Etho has a portal to the backrooms lol, also yes this episode is still one of my favorites 5 years later.

I like how Etho sees himself, and instead of freaking out or somthing he goes: "Oh that's.. that's me. Hello, Me."

I can't explain the emotions I had when I saw Spaz... And when Etho said he finally grew a pair, the callback-iest of callbacks!

I actually believed this for a little bit, the part about your chests and signs. Thought maybe Mojang pulled a prank, but then when you started talking about writers and scripts I realized. AAAMMMMAAZING EPISODE, though!!! You gave it away a bit when one of the doors broke and I saw carpenter's blocks, I thought maybe it was vanilla (for the first part anyway). Anyway, this was your best special since the old days of Spaz! I loved this so much, and it wasn't even technically a special!!! This has been marked as one of my favorite episodes ever!!!!! Thanks so much for making it, it was SOOOOO AWESOME! :D

10:33 easily the darkest thing I've seen Etho do

Untill you started laughing down in those tunnels I thought "okay, either you are a better actor than you have let on to thus far or your story about writers and scripts and all that are actually real. But when you started laughing down in the tunnels I knew. You only laugh that way when you are trying to trick us or someone else. Really great work tough I don't think I've ever been so far out on the edge of my seat for so long whilst watching one of your videos since the UHC season 8 finale. I also reeeeaaaaallllyyyy liked the return of sooooo meny things from your series. just so much Etho trivia went into this. It is... I don't know what to say. I am honored that you treated us the viewers to this... dozy of a video.

This was probably an insane amount of work to put together but it would be awesome to see more content like this. It was my favorite video in a long time. Even though it was scripted it's always a lot of fun to watch you do some exploring.

Fun fact: The contraption at the end is the thing in Etho's user picture.

I'm back here after 5 years, still in awe of the mindfuck we got to experience when this came out. It's an experience you could only get by having followed him for dozens of episodes, then going into this blind. Remember he was teasing of the door for many episodes before this. And the way he passed it off as a "normal" episode, it was such a vertigo-inducing, constant dawning realization.

Best episode ever. Creative, funny, nostalgic and brilliant. The way you tied the nightmare clip from the last visit to the door into the surreal atmosphere was perfect. It was the mystery factor that made that door so compelling just like the hut on the mountain and I expect that won't be the only secret to come. After 404 episodes the only thing not found is a dull moment in this series.

I can't decide if it was modded or not, because of the infinite possibilities of commands blocs, but MAN !! That was so incredible ! My heart just stopped when the glasses came out ! Your episode full of references was amazing! Thank you, you definitely are the BEST !

At first I thought he emptied the chests himself as a joke for the 404th episode. Then I thought he used MCEdit to remove the tile entities. Then when he said "Lets see whats behind the door", I thought he would either do the same thing as the last time he opened the door or make this his 400th episode special. Then I saw the inside and thought that he had put on a resource pack and built the interior in Creative. When he opened the Garage Door, I thought he was using mods. BUT WHEN I SAW SPAZ, I knew that Mojang had given Etho a 1.9 pre-snapshot!

I got scared when the the shades invisible person came out of no where

Usually, I don't like making minecraft modded in anyway but this here is an exception. What you've done is really amazing Etho, combining old stuff from the old lps made it amazing and that music that played. I really enjoy your content mate.

I've been watching this series since you first started and I have to say the reference to the pile of clay on chocolate island was my absolute favorite part of the episode. You're the best Etho!

Mods used: Carpenters blocks (doors) Custom NPCs (all the ethos and other mobs) Galacticraft (spaz) More TNT, explosives plus, better TNT, or any other mod that adds nukes. (Nuke) A mod that added spheres (all the spheres) Chisel? Some mod that added the plain white surfaces, and the perfectly clear glass in the "portals" Did I miss any? Reply and tell me, I would love to know!
