He actually did explained before he did that on purpose. There was also one episode where he goes, "we did xx for hours, but cut the video perfectly so it seemed like no time at all" then he start laughing and said, "I said we, but its all me" I think its around the time he built the super smelter

I’ve been playing Minecraft for a while and I still don’t get redstone. I can do really basic stuff.

Redstone is a charming part of Minecraft. It was made in a week and stuck on as one of the greatest parts of the game. Redstone works on giving you parts to do logic gates and processing, you just have to build them yourself.

Rowan K grind stone may work but I’m unsure if you can automate the grindstone or if a player has to interact with it

It could also be worth disenchanting them before auto smelting the for the added XP!

That sounds cool, though a beacon would probably be easier and more reliable

But the fire resist buff would persist even if he leaves the area!​ It'd be an inconvenience, but Etho tends to build cool contraptions, not convenient contraptions, and if the potions are being split up hoppers would be able to handle distributing them at the same speed as the droppers, maybe even chest minecarts if he wants to distribute potions far and wide and automatically have the ones that return deposit the non-splash potions. Another possibility might be using slime blocks and pistons to launch the splash potions onto the bridge or something so the contraption doing the sorting isn't close and loud.

To be fair the world was generated in Minecraft version 1.2 and has someone who takes the time to look into each mechanic to find an optimal (or overkill) way of using it. It also helps that he can present it in an interesting manner.

The big difference is pewdiecrap records minecraft for money instead of actually enjoying this awesome game and showing original ideas, like Etho (since he started his channel)

No point starting too far back. I recommend going to last world tour, going from there to the present. Then keep making hops back. If you really want a giant binge go back to Aloha (102?) when he started this world. No point in watching the first 100 until you finish everything else. It's mostly unrelated except for the clay joke is essentially the 404 joke.

@@juanpferreira loading it up with stacks of 64 arrows as opposed to stacks of 16 armor stands seems significantly more pratical though. Additionally, the arrows can just be taken from a mob grinder whereas the armorstands all have to be crafted manually.

@@sirrivet9557 basically more than 100 episodes ago he would tease us about a secret room and on episode 404 he showed us what was inside but it was modded so it wasn't what was really inside. In the end I think it was literally nothing and he just turned it into a Redstone room. It was still very engaging nonetheless

@@sirrivet9557 It's empty room where Etho showed us redstone demo's, so-to-speak. For a long time, only the door to it existed, and Etho teased what was behind it for so long, despite nothing being there, hence calling it the "secret room". I'd recommend watching episode 404, if your up for some fun.

Good idea. Then he could smelt the boots to supplement the Goon farm. In the Nether, he could use that infinite supply of lahva as fuel.

I think this is doable with enough furnaces but it won't be very compact. You have to ensure there is never any overflow. A piglin gives boots around 2% of the time. You can trade every 6 seconds so you get on average 0.02 boots per 6 seconds per piglin (or 0.0033 b/s). A blast furnace needs 5 seconds to smelt an item so it can process one boot every 5 seconds (0.2 b/s). So one furnace can handle multiple piglins but if they all generate a boot at the same time you will have an overflow thus you need one blast furnace per piglin. I still worry that if there is a backlog of stackable items before the boots move then there could be issues so adding a few more couldn't hurt. The odds are pretty low this happens anyways. Edit: Well Etho commented saying books also go in so this won't work unfortunately.

I was thinking this too, however, I have no idea if enchanted books go into furnaces or not.

I’m also behind on a different series of his, and what I do is watch every new episode that comes out, but between episodes I watch old episodes trying to catch up. This does end up spoiling a few things for me, but in the end there isn’t much to spoil and it’s fun to know where you’re going, but not how you’re going to get there? If that makes sense. I’ve done it for other Etho series in the past, too. But yes this series is worth watching.

Jay Schlotta it’s still possible to do that, but it’s generally better to place a cheap item that will never enter the system so you don’t need to use 5 of the necessary item for filters.

@@CrowHawkins it hasn't changed, and I would go so far as to say it's a better system, because fewer of the items you want sorted will stay in the hopper
