I love how he's setting up a system to move long distances instantaneously, and he's adding circuits to save one or two seconds. Classic Etho

I've been watching for 8 years, literally grew up with Etho's world, and I still get excited to get my snacks and sit down to enjoy a new episode. I hope we all get to enjoy at least 20 more years of Etho being the amazing goof he is at entertaining us. Please never stop and thank you for all the joy you've brought us.

Etho the human has been playing on this world for a total of 3,689 hours (10,797 days, times 2 to calculate the amount of 10 minute cycles, times 10 to calculate the total number of minutes, divided by 60 to get hours) This is a pretty mind-boggling achievement, honestly. Ender porters might be an interesting shop idea on the hermitcraft server to revive your previous ice road service. Some hermits have some bases that are pretty far from spawn (like the upside down in the nether).

Hey Etho, I would recommend you look into using instant repeaters for the EnderPorter. One of the things I have always admired about you is that you design nearly everything yourself and in a new or interesting way, even if it isn't as efficient. However, I think instant repeaters would be so much easier as you wouldn't have to worry about mobs accidentally triggering it. They would also be faster, as they are truly instant whereas dispensers have a 4 game tick delay. I think that, especially since the EnderPorter Project is meant to be a huge network over potentially thousands of blocks, it makes sense to use the right tools from the get go. Can't wait to see it come to fruition. Cheers!

I've noticed the quality of your editing going way up and I'm loving it! Keep up the great work.

For the enderporter, it looks like you’re not using repeaters for the long distance wire so you could make it bidirectional so you only have to make one wire instead of two. One possible way of doing this would be to have the long distance wire connect to both trapdoors and let this be the main bus that your signal travels on. When you click the button at your source location it will disable the signal from entering the trap door at that location temporarily using a piston and maybe a signal extender. Before committing the signal to the main bus, you might need a few ticks delay to ensure the piston fully retracts at your source destination first. Then you would just need to modify the tripwires to have minecart activators on both ends of each trip wire segment. Edit: After thinking about it for a bit, one downside to this solution is that twice as many minecarts will be activated each time you travel. I'm not sure how much of an impact this will have on game performance, but it might not matter since the lag will only occur briefly.

Etho, I just want to thank you for your series and for continuing it this long. I’ve been watching since I turned 13 and today I turned 20. Seeing this world progress has just been so nice and your episodes have always been a constant through out my life, and I want to thank you for that. Thank you for making such great content and keeping my favorite game from going stale, your videos and this series especially will always hold a special place in my heart, thank you.

Just so you know: dispensers and droppers take 4gt (so, 0.2 seconds) to activate after powering, they are not isntant. Meaning a dispenser every 40 blocks is only a tiny bit better than two repeaters every 30 blocks :P

etho my hombre I'll admit I've not watched the whole video, so you might address this later on in the vid, but I believe if you silk touch an infested (i.e silverfish-y) block, then you get the non-infested silk-touched version of that block (so silk touching an infested stone block will always give you stone & not release any silverfish) that is all :) I shall now cease my comment & continue with the rest of the episode - hyped! :D

Hey Etho, Here's a way you can potentially save a lot of work when building the enderporter: Since you are building alternating sections of wire and redstone, just make each wire section activate both adjacent redstone sections and each redstone section each connecting wire section. I know this sounds stupid at first, but since dispensers only activate on the rising signal edge, if you can spawn the minecarts before the wire is deactivated the signal won't travel back and you get a two-way redstone line. That way you only have to make space for and build one line, not one for each direction. Nice episode :)

I still watch all of Etho's single player uploads. I don't care for anything else to do with the game anymore and no longer play, but I have so much history watching these. To see him go back and finish some project that has 8 years of iterations is still great.

Hey Etho, my name is Joe and I started watching in 2012 when I was 13 in middle school and you were a huge inspiration and role model to me during my formative years in middle school and high school. I stopped playing Minecraft around 2015, but I continued to watch all of your videos and I still have up until this day as a 21-year-old college student. Your videos bring me such great comfort and joy which reminds me of the way I describe you to people when they ask me why I still watch a Minecraft RU-vidr when I don't play Minecraft anymore: I tell them that you are, "The Bob Ross of our generation," but instead of painting your medium is Minecraft. When I was sick with COVID while traveling abroad in early March I was feeling very ill while laying in my Airbnb bed trying to fight my fever and stressing about how I was going to make it home to my family, so I did what always comforts me and pulled up one of your old videos. In this case, it was a Project Ozone 2 video and I can distinctly remember laying there feeling like my world was crashing down until I heard your voice and watched your videos with your always cheerful and upbeat attitude which gave me the spark of joy I needed in that time and many other occasions beside that one come to mind where your videos helped me through a tough time. I just want to thank you for being such a constant in my life and always creating quality content for your viewers while sticking true to your values - you never fail to bring a smile to my face with every video. This is the first time I have ever commented on one of your videos, but please know that I and many others love the content you create. I think I will try to comment some more because writing this felt nice and I hope you take the time to read it (sorry it's so long!) but I guess I'll never know. Etho. one of the reasons me and a lot of other people watch this series is because of the legacy behind it. you have such an old world with so much rich history and its incredible to see you still care for it and add new things: update old things, fix projects from years ago. The fact that you even can fix and finish projects from so many years ago is amazing. it's nice to hear you don't want to reset it all. I know many of us fans don't want that either. we come to see you first and foremost of course but this world means so much too. so please don't reset it. there's still so much to see from it.

I feel like Etho's world is so old and went through so many stages that it kinda became a cultural heritage of sorts. Old and modern building and redstone styles all mixed together in a continually evolving world. I think it's worth preserving and maintaining at this point so I'm glad it doesn't take a back seat for now.
