Etho Plays Minecraft - Episode 562: Failure? Try Again! 

Etho what do you think of the current enchantment system? I personally think that it needs to be revamp: I think that the curses are very under used. It would be cool to see curses in all or most of all the books from villages (so to balance them) and the 30 level cap (with better enchantement) could be raised with the trade off of possible curses. What would be your suggestions?

Etho’s patience and dedication to originality is so impressive. I’m always amazed that he can resist from just looking up tutorials to these farms that someone else already has a design for.

I'm just gonna go on and say it. This is probably the greatest farm I've ever seen. Don't even care about the rates. The nuclear reactor analogy, the water ring slowly dropping on the outside, the amusement park feeling when you're riding the farm... everything combined into that HOLY SH*T factor that just blew my mind. AMAZING video, Etho! WOW!

I'd totally watch an 8 hour stream of Etho just going up and down in the reactor to watch more and more shulkers spawn. It'd be kinda like a lava lamp

Oh my god... It is a perfect analog for a nuclear reactor xD Gotta keep the Shulkers critical! Edit: The shulkers are the fissile material and their projectiles are the neutrons. You want one neutron released by the decay of an atom for every one neutron absorbed by another fissile atom. This keeps the reaction critical, or constant. Madly simplified.

So Etho has given us the first fuel rod of his shulklear reactor, with spent fuel re-enrichment capabilities and active water cooling! He just needs better containment to take care of those loose neutron-bullets. Wouldn’t want to fly past it as exposed as it is now!

This is why I love watching Etho, even though it’s not the most efficient, the shulker hadron collider is such a creative and cool concept for a farm.

Not only did Etho not go for any of the existing Shulker Farms, like Doc's or SciCraft's etc., but then he goes and makes an original, amazing design that looks like a nuclear reactor vessel. Completely unique, hilarious, and fun. As long as Etho keeps uploading Minecraft videos, I will always watch them.

Hey Etho! All your farms/builds seem so original. Everyone seems to be following the ilmango/doc shulker farm, and yours is so unique! Same with the brewer, even if didn't work. I think you've always said that creating new personalized things/experimenting and learning is how you like to play the game. I would love to know whether you avoid watching other Minecraft farm tutorial type videos so that it doesn't box you into one kind of mechanic? Or do you keep up with the current popular methods but still prefer to come up with your own mechanic?

I’d take one vid a year over a content farm. Cool that you show the failures, I think that actually encourages others to try to push the boundaries as well. Otherwise someone might fail, and get frustrated.. not realizing it’s a part of it. Even for the greats;)

Here's a fun idea for you, how about Potion of the turtle master? Aswell as healing. That way your shulker can take a lot more hits before he is at half health. Think you make them with turtle scutes.

We don't hate it. What we want as your loyal community is for you to be happy. That's what makes Etho great, the chill demeanour, the insight and the playfulness you bring into every video. And if that means we get a video once a month, so be It. My daughter (6) my wife and I litterally organise a family session to watch your videos together. With her in school and my wife and I working oposite shifts its one of those rare times we all sit as a family and enjoy one another's company, as well as enjoy watching some awesome etho content. I've been watching you for at least 8 years now maybe more, I've brought my family which I never thought I'd even have into the etho world and they love everything you put out and so do I. I hope you see this comment, becsuse I want to thank you. I really feel you've saved my life on several occasions, just knowing there is such an amazing human out there pumping out such great content who love his fans but has the self respect to know his limits has taught me so much. I'm sure we can all agree with me. We would love to see more episodes but really appreciate the time and effort that you put into each episode. I remember when videos were constant and it was great but every ep is more enjoyable now then it ever has been because you seem so much happier playing the game and enjoying what your doing. Just discovered this series and I really like it so far in just watching this episode. I like the explaining and thought process when making the farm. I also like seeing cool old builds in the underground base. I also like the healthy mindset when you said you know we hate the slow paced episodes but care more that you enjoy making videos in your own time. Probably a reason you keep going on the same world for years.

Etho, you are an incredibly smart person. You regularly recognize and abuse specific minecraft mechanics (the wall of trapdoors in this case) in the same way a gifted engineer quickly knows what real like mechanism or design is right for the job.

I just love this everything about this shulker farm! It just looks so elegant and futuristic and it’s unique. I love the comparison to a nuclear reactor, even almost looks like one.

Watching a whole hour watching Etho going back and forth in that Shulker tube would be relaxing.

I honestly feel the pacing for your videos makes perfect sense now. Not just because you're taking your time and making your own schedule but more so because your world is so advanced now. Early on in a world, you have a million things to work on, so you never run out of projects to start or work on. As you've played and built up the world. Many of these have been taken off the list in various methods. Yes it would be great to come back to some old projects and redesign them at some point like the giant mushroom farm for one, but they're not necessities anymore. Seeing you come up with more complex systems and more relevant systems as your world grows is one of the great parts of having such an advanced world. And to do that, it takes time. So definitely take your time on your videos. We'll wait patiently (or as best we can lol) for your next crazy contraption you come up with!

I love the brewing setup you showed us at the start of the episode. I'd like to call it the "Screwer Brewer", because it winds a hopper minecart around as if it were a thread on a screw. Interesting application of game mechanics!

CopyCrafters: There are many hermits that can copy designs found on RU-vid, or copy designs created for them by their "team." Very few create their own designs, and on camera. Well done Etho. And for the record I would have to be a CopyCrafter.

When there is such a larger community of minecraft content creators it's not on just a few to keep up with how much the fans want to watch. So you, Etho, and the others have a better enjoyable job. It's crazy to me I've been watching you so long and I just wanted you to know that whenever I'm stressed your videos helped me relax. I don't hate it hate it hate it when your episodes are completed at a relaxing pace. I am just glad that you still like sharing part of your world with us. Now that I am an adult and have many responsibilities, I can usually only watch new episodes every once in a while--right now I am getting caught up on the LP series for the entire year.
