Etho, My son was born in 2012. I had a five year old daughter that wanted to learn to play video games then. We picked up Minecraft and started watching this shy young man teach us awesome things like EATS Roads and redstone grinders. It was an invaluable time for me and my daughter since there was a new kid in the family. All of my kids (theres three!) play Minecraft now. We discovered the Hermits because of you and we've advanced our Minecraft game a bajillion points. We have a server we maintain and have about ~20 other kids and adults that play with us. We stream it! A a whole community built all from one video back in 2012. It hurts my heart to hear the tough time you were going through. And as a business owner, as soon as you said TAX SEASON, I started to cry and laugh. Only you, Etho, could make that happen. My son is 10 years old now, my daughter 16. I am no longer a young man grasping at straws to be a dad because you helped. You've made it so my kids think I'm cool, so we have something in common and something to brag about to their friends. Thank you Etho. I'm very sorry for your loss my distant internet friend. I'm very impressed with how you're handling this and how you sprung into action. Last year, my Grandad died of Cancer. We all went over to spend his last few weeks with him. Blind, and losing his memory in his 80's. Now one of my Grannies died just over a month ago now. It's a bit rough. I can't imagine having to sort it all out on top of all that. I feel for my Mam and going through it together with their siblings. You have my greatest sympathies Etho. I've loved watching these since the matrix storage system was being built

My dad recently had his father pass away and I saw how much a toll that stress can take on someone who’s lost a parent, not just grieving the loss of them but also dealing with their finances and such, not a fun time. His brothers live elsewhere so him as the only child left in the same province (New Brunswick) had to deal with everything.

We're going through a similar situation with my grandfather. It was oddly comforting to hear someone else talk about their experience, so thank you for sharing

Im so happy that you were able to be there for you family, as I was for mine. The symptoms you are describing sound very similar to my father. My condolences to you and your family. Last month our Rottweiler died after weeks of losing muscle mass, we suspected it to be cancer after learning that the dog breed is prone to having cancer. We spent the last two days with him til the end which probably helped us mourn his death. Glad to see your doing fine.

My husband passed away from a glioblastoma in 2019. My daughter and I watched your video together as we have been doing the last few years since I introduced you to her (on Zoom, since she is actually getting a degree in Vancouver BC, although we are from the US).
