***** The manufacturer's instructions have it routed this way for simplicity's sake. Often there is a grommet or plug in the spare tire well that can be removed or cut to allow the wires to pass through. Often thought, this requires the plug to be cut off the harness and re-spliced which voids the warranty. Also, the installer will have to devise a method for sealing the area where the wire passes from inside to outside.
Hello, i purchased this wiring harness for my 2013 explorer xlt and after installing it, my driver side tail light went haywire. When i turn my driver turn signal on, it flashes my tail light instead. And the reverse light on both sides and driver turn signal flash very dimly. Also the passenger trailer lights didnt work as well. But i used my neighbors truck, trailer worked perfectly. Hoping to find a solution to this...
