have a noticeable bend in monster pro rim and i think it was from when my tire pressure got really low at one point because of a huge bump, heard and felt the rim hit it ( i unknowingly rode it on 12 psi for awhile, I have it usually at 36 - 42 of course since I am a big guy) it is also causing the tire to look like it wobbles very slightly, but the ride doesn't feel off. hope it's safe to continue or should i just hammer the rim into place
You can have a little more control over the situation by using a car jack and finding a space that fits the car, jack and the rim and then begin putting pressure on the rim. There is a spot with two cement posts in the ground near each other. That works for me. But now I just use my hydraulic press.
@@roghaj I have a Master sitting here still that is bricked. I replaced the upper frame, the wheel was still slightly crooked, even after the new frame. I was told by alienrides a calibration should straighten it out. I attempted and it died. Won’t turn on at all now. Nothing else looked broken. I inspected the battery packs. I’m pretty sure the controller fried. I have done a lot of work on my Tesla keeping it alive. 🤣
With the rim being bent, I found that it is common for it be bent around the same area on the other side of the rim. Any suggestions about fixing the rim on either side while both areas are bent? How does this method effect the other side of the rim?
Heat does help. Most of us are lazy and like to do this with the tire still on. Makes heating sufficiently a no go. I recently found out that the EX30 rims fracture as well.
Was the wheel out of true wobbling before and got better after? I have the same problem, mine is a smaller bent but the wheel wobbles so much, am hoping when I do what u did it gets better...
Felt like I was hitting a tiny bump every revolution. Wasn't a huge deal but now its perfect. Your issue might go away if you empty your tire of air and squeeze the tire off the rim and reinflate it. Good luck.
@@roghaj my tube blew up on impact and the rim bent a little less than yours, but the wheel wobbles from side to side, hopefully it works, gonna try later
Hey 👋 Can anyone tell me , i have a small bend in a v11 rim . The ride still feels basically perfect and no wobbles or bump . Can I continue to ride or is it dangerous and I need to fix it asap ?
@@andyhan5008 I can only hang in the 50’s for a minute or two before the voltage sag starts taking me down. We can get things figured out at Apple Valley speedway in November. Deal?
