Honestly wish Eugene did more of the Style-ish series, this was the video that actually inspired me to find better products for my hair and to try new styles
Eugene, you inspired me to start putting effort into my hair again. I'm a single father and for the past month I've been feeling too uninspired to do my hair even though I had loved to. Thank you for reminding me to be more myself. *update* Thank you to the people who commented and 400+ people who liked this. The Tryceratops community is awesome, Eugene is awesome. I've been trying something a little bit different with my hair everyday and I feel so inspired to try new things out :)
@@eksophia Even as a straight woman I completely agree! I love a hot butch lesbian with good hair!........okay that is the first time I have said that, maybe that makes me straight-adjacent !
I'm glad, most men's tutorials are just these "style gurus" trying to sell us shit. This feels more like what eugene said, a friend explaining and recommending products.
Why haven’t we seen anymore videos on this topic? I’d love to see Eugene explain what all the different products are; I’m an adult woman and I don’t know what most of this stuff is, and he’d be great at teaching it...
It is so nice to see a video teaching self-care for men. I realize that self-care is quite disproportionate in the exposure and accessibility of guides for self-care for women and self-care for men, and I'm glad that the try guys have made it enjoyable and mainstream for everyone to learn. Great video guys. And yet again, Eugene is looking fabulous as always.
He looks like that but also the first 2 are every asshole from Asian romance movies, the third if like he is that smart hot and cold Asian protagonist of the romance movie
Eugene: I think we started with gel cause it was the cheap stuff Stylist: yeah the 99 cent stuff!!! Video: *Shows Various cheap gels* Me: **literally has all the cheap gels shown**
Didn't even know how to spell mousse before this video, guess who bought one after 🙋♀️ (p.s. if you guys want to see behind the scenes of me editing this video, watch the latest video on my channel!😙😙)
it makes me so happy to see eugene be able to explore into different categories now that the guys are independent ❤️❤️ can’t wait for the next style-ish videos!!!
@@TeenDream888 The (stereotypical) Korean gangsters in my view generally have shorter hair, but (stereotypical) Hong Kong gangsters are quite fund of the shiny backing hair, at least in the movies XD The main in "Jiang Hu The Triad Zone" seems like one of those (stereotypical) examples
Over 18 years of going through many many hairdresser, none of them had ever explained everything so thoroughly like David here. He's amazing. Thank you for this lil guide :)
first look=chinese mafia second look=shady businessman third look=dorky k-drama teacher fourth look=salaryman dad fifth look=bed-hair sixth look=prestigious school delinquent that pompadour is classic, Umemiya Ryunosuke a.k.a Bokuto no Ryu approved
😂 The first hairstyle makes him look like a retro Asian dad 😆 Second look: Bad Boy 😎 Third look says "I travel the world and know many things." 🌎 😂 I know very specific. Fourth look says, "I have a big ego or Mr. Tough Guy." I've watched too many movies.. Fifth Look: Party Guy or "I'm on vacation." 🎉 Sixth Look: Flamboyant
Love this! As a barber, I feel like there’s a world of resources for women’s hair, but I haven’t seen much for men’s hair styling. So thanks for putting this on the inter webs, Eugene!
So I recently came out as a trans guy and I'm trying to own it, and part of that means I want to up my hair game. I remembered that this video exists and RAN to it, and it's so helpful. Thank you, Eugene! I'm trying to speed-learn what I wasn't experimenting with during my teens and early 20s and this really helps.
Eugene is the exception to all sexualities. We do not know how we does it, but he can make anyone attracted to himself. All of humanity are eugenesexuals
Elisa Ekaputri I just spendt several days going down the rabbit hole of styling men’s hair on RU-vid. It’s facinating. To be fair I did get a pixie 2 weekend ago, so it’s a bit more relevant, but still. Oddly calming.
You joke but I'm a woman planning on getting my hair cut short in about a week and kinda freaking out a little about how I'm going to style it. I remembered this video and decided to rewatch it
@@grumpyblue1623 Maybe they could make a style or fashion series for women. It doesn't have to be for hair but maybe in general. But I see your point and that the structure is kinda the same. 😊
This is a great idea for a series! I do wish maybe another guy or two could have been in here to show how products work with different types of hair. Asian hair is a particular texture. They do mention a couple times about different hair types. Looking forward to more of these!
I just have to give props for how absolutely all about his job Mr. Dang is. It is refreshing to see someone who seems to love their job that much, AND be that awesome at it. Huzzah for you sir. Style on.
Dani M I feel you 😩 Last summer I went into liver (and respiratory) failure, and unfortunately one of the side effects was LARGE patches of my nice, long hair falling out. There were areas I was almost completely bald! Of course considering I had only a 40% chance of living, it could have been worse. It’s just made my hair difficult exactly a full year later. Waiting for bald patches to fill in, but keeping trimmed the hair that stayed in such a way that it looked fairly even with those bald patches if I brushed it right. Part of me wants to keep my hair short (I actually came close to shaving all my hair off after the 7.5 weeks I was in hospital, but a woman cut it for free and beautifully which I didn’t think would be possible!), and when I did a Facebook poll nearly EVERY single friend said keep it short and only one friend said to grow it back out. Keeping it short GENERALLY makes it easier to work with, but I feel growing it out long again gives me more style options.
All these looks and I liked the one he started with when he first got in the chair. lol I, personally, like the tousled and curled, messy looks the best. Also, Eugene refraining from saying anything when the artist says kinky (hair). lol
