The Eureka Stockade is a .223 lever release rifle, conceived to address challenges in acquiring firearm parts and to enhance efficiency and reliability. The design incorporates elements from the Australian-made AAA and ArmaLite rifles, opting for a gas impingement system with a push rod to minimize debris, aiming to provide Australian shooters, particularly hunters, with a powerful and effective firearm.

@@AustralianSportingAgenciesdo you sell to the US?
@AustralianSportingAgencies
@AustralianSportingAgencies 6 месяцев назад
Hey mate, no we don't. Our issue is that the firearm would be price prohibitive if we export from here to the US. You would be better off buying the BRN180 from browsnells. We are considering manufacturing overseas to enter the US market maybe in 12 months time or so. @@studentdrake

@@AustralianSportingAgencies I live in a prohibitive state, similar laws to Australia. If you ever make it to the states, us here in California, New York, and other restrictive states would love to have a rifle like that.

Thanks for the info mate, that might be worth while doing then. Sad that it has come to that in the US. The firearm would be around the 2k USD, would that be too expensive for your market? @@studentdrake

Thanks mate. We are trying to get the balance right between cost of production, legal limitations and customer preferences while obviously working reliably, hence any comments are always welcomed.

The early American M-16s failed due to a change of powder used in the early 5.56mm cartridges. The incorrect powder was substituted and different pressure curves occurred, leading to gross firearm malfunctions. Military gas recoil operated rifles, are complex.

Hi, love the work you guys are doing. Very interested in one for roo shooting, will it be legal in WA? And what accuracy are you expecting? 1 moa? Thanks!
@AustralianSportingAgencies
@AustralianSportingAgencies 6 месяцев назад
Thanks mate, yes it will be excellent for roo culling. We believe it will be legal in WA (unless they change something again) but we won't know until we submit them for registration in each state. In terms of accuracy, we are aiming for sub moa but we won't know until next week when we test tire the barrels. Time will tell :)

Hopefully it's easy to disassemble and clean. The only thing stopping me from buying a Taipan, is how many grub screws you have to remove to take it apart so you can clean the barrel.
@AustralianSportingAgencies
@AustralianSportingAgencies 6 месяцев назад
Hi mate, with the current design you will need to take 3 screws out to take the upper off the lower, which means you can reach everything you would want to clean in the receiver including barrel. Take out 4 screws and you can reach the gas system by taking off the forend. A further 3 screws on the barrel nut/adapter and you will have the total firearm disassembled and can take out the barrel. Sounds like a lot, but you can do it in 45 seconds with a drill.

Why not save money and build it around an AR lower?
@AustralianSportingAgencies
@AustralianSportingAgencies 6 месяцев назад
Hey mate, an AR lower is banned in many states so the gun would be banned straight away in Tas, Vic, NSW and WA. The other reason is that the AR lower is actually not better but worst than our design. When you hold the firearm in your hand, you will notice that your hand will sit perfectly against the lower. Also our trigger pull distance is longer, so that you have a better trigger pull position. Lastly, making an AR lower is as much work as our own, so there wouldn't be any cost savings, as we can't import AR lowers or uppers into the country. Hope that makes sense?

@@AustralianSportingAgencies cool, that makes a lot of sense. Thank you for that.
