+rubbers3 I have to say, I like the 2012 Hank better than the 2016 Hank. Not because of the topics, but because of the way it was presented back then. A much looser script that allowed for much more joking around and messing with ways words or sentences were said while still keeping to the facts and presenting it in a much more interesting way . It's much more "on rails" nowadays, maybe a bit too much imo.

I wish we were still in the space age. I feel like I'm living in the damn dark ages. Nowadays everybody only cares about their new Iphone 5's, new cars, and fuck knows what else. It's such a waste that we're not devoting our new technology to expanding throughout the solar system. This new "me" generation has no concern for the future of the human race. The majority of young people in this generation don't have a collective drive to do anything noteworthy. The worst part of all is it encouraged by pointless consumerism. Our governments would rather waste billions on unnecessary bullshit than continuing the legacy of Astronauts, Cosmonauts, and so on. It all comes down to greed...which is the single greatest motivator in human history. The only way we're going to see humans ever expanding into space is either when the corporations decide to market it, or when/if aliens ever show up. Well that's just my opinion anyways. Feel free to share your contrasting opinions...

How much did the banks demand in bailouts to pay CEO bonuses again? Is a few billion really that much?
@Caarnji
@Caarnji 10 лет назад
***** Bailouts of major banks or industries happens because the money on millions hang on it and it would impact the whole economy if something as big just goes byebye with everyones money. That other companies could take their place if they trainwreck won´t magically make billions appear to save the economy or make the money of others with which they speculated re-appear. Kinda like letting one drive with 3 per mille. Than after he got into a crash the insurance pays from a pool of money for having the crashing guy and his victim get back to feet. (just that in this analogy the drunk got the same damage as the victim, while in the business world the ceo just resigns, but made millions anyway and will just be meh and?) If it would work like you imagine, letting another drunk drive would be the solution to having the victim of the 1. drunk get back to feet. :P Which doesn´t work in many ways, 1. other companies won´t pay for the damage done by other companies. 2. you would need to KNOW they will do better even if they would (which they don´t) and no one can see the future, ESPECIALLY economists that think they figured it all out.

I've been fascinated by Europa for so long now, (since reading 2001) I can't for the life of me figure out why we haven't already gone there. To me it seems to be the best candidate for life (as we would understand it) in our solar system. However... We should be exploring space so much more! We need to explore more! The mysteries of the cosmos is what drives our curiosity! If I had that kind of money, I'd pitch in for sure! The sparse oxygen atmosphere is probably the result of radiolysis. In the massive magnetic field of Jupiter, there's ionizing radiation breaking down water, which forms gases and other chemicals, like hydrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen peroxide.
