European trucking - South of France in the Farmers strike Part 1

Hi Ben. With strikes in France, I've found they never last longer than 10 days. In our days when we first went camping in Europe (early 1980s), we passed through Spa in Belgium, and part of the main road was where the Belgium Grand Prix was held. If anyone ever watches the races, as the cars are racing past the grandstand and pit stops, you can actually see the white lines of the main road for the ordinary road cars. There are large gates that shut when there's a race on. Whilst we were driving through it, there were some bikers that we racing round the circuit, although I don't think they were actually allowed to do this. Listening to what you've had to do with detours, reminds me of when me and my lovely Tom did our trip to the South of France during the 1993 French lorry strikes. All the motorways were clogged up with standing traffic, so from Dieppe down through Reims, Troyes, Dijon, Lyon and on to Castellane towards Cannes, it was all N roads only. It was a nightmare, even getting fuel, although luckily, we used petrol, so plenty of that, no so much for diesel

Not just a lorry driver Ben; a statistician too. The variables in logistics are endless nowadays. so rewarding when the plan comes together .

Mr Breeze I do like your videos but they would be more interesting if you could film finding and arriving at your drops' instead of cutting from driving on a road to telling us that you have tipped and are on the way to somewhere else
