After Netta's grand victory in Lisbon last year, the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will travel to Tel Aviv, Israel!
The 64th Eurovision Song Contest will take place at the Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Center). The first Semi-Final will be held on Tuesday, 14th of May, the second Semi-Final on Thursday, 16th of May and the Grand Final will take place on Saturday, 18th of May.
The shows will be hosted by Bar Refaeli, Erez Tal, Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub.
Ten countries will qualify from each Semi-Final.

@@senorita9107 Italy is part of the Big Five and hence doesn't perform in the semi-finals. They're automatically through to the finals. In semi-final 2 on thursday they'll interview Mahmood though and show part of the song

You don't consider a few things: 1) COVID: which levered down pretty much everything in terms of production and brought many logistic problems with it (with the postcards ecc). 2) RAI: It's been more than 30 years that Italy didn't host a song competition this big, so it's only natural that RAI (the national broadcaster) didn't want to invest too much money in it (considering it hasn't been a thing in Italy until recently, nobody knew what Eurovision was until last year I'd say). 3) STAGE: There were problems with the stage because the Sun was a completely new concept compared to just having the LED WALL behind the artists, so this brought problems of course. 4) THE WAY ITALIAN PEOPLE DEAL WITH PROBLEMS: This is pretty much self-explanatory but us Italians just take our time to do everything lol, so you just have to bear with us. On the other side we can be very passionate and emphatic people though. You could see this in the hosting, the hosts weren't just reading the teleprompter but smiling and playing with each other and it was a completely different vibe. I really loved this year's hosting. Definitely better than the one in Rotterdam imo. So overall not as EPIC as the 2019 Eurovision but very watchable and enjoyable indeed. I really liked it (not to mention I've actually been at the Palaolimpico and experienced it myself and it was AMAZING to say the least!!)

@@saharlevy4548 The stage and venue are better in Rotterdam, even despite the restrictions. The hosts and postcards were better in Tel Aviv. So far it seems like the intervals in Tel Aviv were somewhat better as well, but we saw only one semi, it can change. I expect something really spectacular in the final. They are for sure capable for that.

Israel I want to say something: You did a great job hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 no stiff hosts good stage good camera angles good opening and interval acts. Israel Congratulations YOU ARE THE NEW SWEDEN OF HOSTING. This makes Last year's contest look like it was made from a smartphone

@@ido1061 Portugal didn't want to spend many millions with it. They made it very clear it was going to be low-budget when compared to previous editions. The organization was still good though, better than Israel.

K T Oh no it is clear why you don’t like the Israeli organization ! You showed your real face! This land isn’t occupied because it was NEVER Palestinian! There was NEVER a Palestinian state and many of the Palestinians came from neighboring countries in the end of 19th and 20th century. We cannot steal what has ever belonged to somebody else.

Amazing performance by Netta. Spectacular organisation by Israel, arguably the best in the ESC history. And in short video clips, the world sees how beautiful, peaceful landscapes the country has. As a human being, all I wish is that Palestinians and Israelis can enjoy those fertile lands and natural beauty all together, hand in hand, and peacefully. Otherwise, humanity’s conscience bleeds... As Dana International sings, NO boundaries, religion, race, limits! Peace ✌️ ☮️ ❤️ Best stage show was delivered by Australia, I couldn’t believe my eyes! Iceland was as I expected, superb. Yet, I am really disappointed with the fact my favourite, Portugal is out of the contest! You people lost your mind?!🤬🤬🤬 How could you not appreciate such a unique song?! I am also sad for Hungary, Poland and Georgia. They really deserved to be finalists. Not fair!

Man this show was amazing, the post cards are great, the staging and effects are spot on, and I loved that there were a lot of songs that were performed in their native language, I have been missing that. Congrats Israel for the awesomeness!!! Also I liked most of the songs, as for the ones that made it to the final, two of those are from the small, very small bunch I didn't like but asides from that I am fine with who went through. Can't wait for the next semi final and the final!
