Great review! We currently use the Evan-Moor spelling books, and my kids like them. My daughter was struggling with her spelling with our main curriculum (T4L). It doesn't have a spelling curriculum, unfortunately, so I gave Evan-Moor a try. I noticed her spelling skills have improved since using Evan-Moor! She's now only missing between 3 - 4 words with a list of 15 words. BIG improvement! (I also supplement with ABC order and sentence writing.)

I don't speak English very well but I can say thank you very much for taking your time to explain very well. I think those books are the right books for my daughter She's on 2nd grade but I didn't know about those books.

We just got Evan Moor Spelling. It looks really good. I like repetitive activities so my daughter knows what to do and can look forward to them. That’s why she also loves Explode the Code so much for Phonics. ❤️😊 Thanks for reviewing! We use this in conjunction with All About Spelling. Next year we’ll do Levels 3 and 4. 👍🏻 We like both the traditional spelling list approach along with teaching the phonics rules.

Hi want to find the lesson video of Spectrum books, but I can't find anywhere.

Thanks so much for this. I'm new to homeschool this year for my 4th and 2nd grader and was looking at these two spelling books. They are both naturally good spellers, and I think I prefer the Spectrum layout but noted that you think Evan Moor is a little more challenging. I believe they need the more challenging words. But what are your thoughts of using both books and alternating them so they can get a mix of both lists of words? Also do you use another curriculum for vocabulary or would you say this is sufficient to fill that?
