And also Michael Moorer, with Teddy Atlas's unforgettably emotional plea to Michael Moorer to remember his son and fight because he was behind in points. Michael Moorer woke up and flattened Botha, but until then, Botha was fighting BIG.

Even though his physique looked unimpressive for most of his career, Frans Botha was deceptively fast. His quick 1-2 combination troubled a lot of 90s greats. But alas, he broke down from mid rounds almost every time. He won every single round against Tyson until he walked into that right hand, and he was having similar success against Evander for 4 rounds, before proceeding to get beaten up for every round thereafter.

5:58 Botha a "4 time world champion". On what planet? Of the 4 recognized world titles (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF) he won the IBF title against Axel Schulz in 1995 but was stripped of the title because he tested positive for PED's (I'll give him that one) Won the NABF (North American Boxing Federation) title against James Stanton in 1997. Not a world title. Won the WBF (World Boxing Federation) title in 2009 against Ron Guerrero. The WBF is not a recognized world body. It's a stepping stone federation but I'll count that as his second "world title" Every fighter he fought that had a recognizable name stopped him (Michael Moorer, Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Holyfield, Michael Grant), with the exceptions of Shannon Briggs and Clifford Etienne, whom he both fought to a draw. He was a tough dude but he wasn't a 4 time world heavyweight champion. There is only one fighter who won it 4 times. Evander Holyfield. Ali did it 3 times.

Evander Holyfield had a pro career record of 44 wins, 10 loses and 2 draws. In a time when many fighters were juiced up, he was one of them, nevertheless he was a good champion and one tough fighter. Was he great, not to me, not with 10 loses, some to less than exceptional fighters. But he was very good, and juiced or not, a tough nut to crack. When you fought Holyfield you had better show up ready to get it on, because he would get in front of you and make you earn it.

Ppl forget the context, he came up near the end of the golden age of boxing, yes he lost fights to all time greats but no reason to pretend he wouldn't have some hardware in this era, the man was big and tough he just didn't work on his body which was actually impressive early in his career and due to so many great fighters he had to wait a long time to get title bouts and that time worked against him.

Two Wheels you must have not watched a lot of his fights Mike Tyson lost to the greats and he still widely known for his skills Botha had skills but wasn’t really known/underrated 🤦🏿 just like Holyfield and Lennox Lewis

Холифилд то липнет, то головой вперёд летит, Тайсону своей башкой постоянно в лицо бил, грязный боец.

Dude this fight should of ended in the third or four rounds even the second but They agree before hand to get take it up to the 5 or. What ever round it did ….. why? I’m gonna tel you. When ever theres a guy who is being challenged he has to either fight him or surrender his belt …but know one whants to do that so instead hey agree to fight and to take it easy for the dude giving up the belt….
