Holyfield and Nielsen were originally scheduled to meet on March 5, but the fight was postponed due to a cut Holyfield suffered in a bout against Sherman Williams on January 22.Nielsen mooned the audience at the official weigh-in. He said a member of the crowd had shouted that he wanted "to see my white backside." Nielsen said, "I gave it to them. It needn't be boring." This was Holyfield's last fight, but he did not officially announce his retirement until June 26, 2014.

Evander Holyfield was a great fighter even before he beat Mike Tyson during 1996, But like a number of great fighters he Holyfield fought way past his prime as his Warrior spirit would not allow him to retire during his prime! Evander Holyfield is an inspiration to fighters and people worldwide as he said many times over, you can do anything, When do never quit!

Crazy how much Holyfield changed in 10 years from this to his recent fight against Belfort. He still looked in physically good shape. But he was just a shell of his former self.

I am from Denmark and have since I was a child always seen Brian Nielsen's matches over the years. But I do not understand why he has had so little publicity and despite his insane statistics, not very many people know about him. He is a beast that has demolished a lot of really big names. He deserves all that he has achieved and deserves more people should know his name. Yeah it's kind of bizarre Neilsen didn't have more big fights or opportunities on the international circuit. He was probably in the too 25 and should have been in more high profile bouts. Tough and big, but not very agile or technical he wasn't great but he was a respectable journeyman.

@@koneking2569 The US heavyweight boxing scene didn’t really take European boxers seriously until the Klitschko brothers, so he was off the radar of the big promoters. He also fought in a time when the US heavy scene was stacked, so they didn’t need a bunch of European fighters as easy opponents for big names, like Ali used to do. He also did not stay in shape as well as he could.

Evander should have stuck with Tommy Brooks through his whole career. Tommy gave Evander an edge. He was an excellent trainer who was smart and tough.

Brian gave off strong King Hippo vibes everytime he held his hands out high in the air. Just daring Holyfield to hit that fat belly. Pretty laughable watching some soup can try and taunt one of the best boxers ever. He was outclassed by an aged and uninterested Holyfield.

Nelson got lot of chances. he look a bit tired of his own weight. he throws less punches. if one of his good punch reach evander , it would take evander right down to the ground. many a times evander found it hard to defend Nelson punches.

All three judges scored round 2 and round 8 for Brian Nielsen, and the rest of the rounds for Evander Holyfield. All three judges scored the first 9 rounds 88-82 in favor of Evander Holyfield, before Evander Holyfield stopped Brian Nielsen at the end of the 10 round.

Old man Brian Neilsen could've at least attempted to get himself out of the corner in the 4th round instead of continously backing into it. Holyfield gave him plenty of chances to get back out into the ring.
