secure.eve-online.com/ft/?aid... Try EVE Free on a 14 day trial. Don't blame us though if you get hooked. EVE has an amazing ability to suck you in. :)
You would also be able to hear your gunshots, thrusters and stuff like that as there is a medium between your pilot and the guns, the oxygen inside the ship and also the ship it's self would be the medium in which the sound would be able to travel.
This is the best sci-fi intro I have ever seen. This is also the most thought-provoking game intro I have ever seen. This is also one of the most chilling and dark and twistedly beautiful 2-minute visions I have ever seen. And when watching it , I feel like if the infitite abyss of the universe breathes on me from the deepest depths of time and space itself... Its so... cold and dark... brrbrbrbr... And yet so amazingly attractive...
This game screams transhumanism all over, and I love it for doing so. This right here is the video that drove me to the game. I could only experience it for a few days until the free trial ended, since i can't afford full membership, but I thoroughly enjoyed it while it lasted so I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the genre, who doesn't have monetary restraints and who has a lot patience. Peace.
@DarkAchilles919, Yes it's from a bit ago. I have this video and another that I'll upload later that we are referring to in an interview we will be posting. :)
Played for a few months as a trader 5 yrs ago. Just started as a pirate/explorer 2 months ago. Eve is difficult because the sole purpose is to make money by any means necessary. That could be for more ships, bigger guns, or market dominance. This is also why there seems to be as many inglorious basterds in Eve as there is in real life. Sandbox is nuts. Can't trust No One. Only way to survive is to join a gang. Show no mercy, because no one is going to do the same for u.
I've played this game before, and for a month straight, it is true, couldn't stop playing it, but it kind of does get boring and somethings and new ships start to get hard to get... somethings really hard to train and alot of farming is involved... but the game is still FUN. so do give it a try.
Great, so in the future everyone could go "I WILL FORGE AN EMPIRE THAT WILL LAST TEN THOUSAND YEARS!!!!" and nothing could be done to stop them. Nice world you got there.
@TheWoWBeezChannel It's very in depth and complicated but it's nothing like a simulator for one EVE uses a fluid dynamics physics model for example there is a certain amount of drag on you ship when you're in the vacuum of space, which obviously wouldn't happen in real space you can also hear sounds that would not travel through space. Those are just some example but the list is nearly endless.
@head2fiststyle12345, The game is excellent and very challenging. It would be considered a hard core game though. It will take a lot of time to learn. But once you do you can become very powerful.
@LegoDinosaurMonkey nope, its got a monthly subscription, although u can purchase an In-game item known as PLEX to add another 30 days to your account, these are purchasable with in-game currency. they are bought by players for real life money to sell ingame for ingame money (makes a quick buck ykno.) realistically, if you do it right u should be able to easily sustain an account with nothing but PLEXes within 3-6 months. if you know what ur doing... less, alot less
This game is awesome! The only problem with it is that i cost over time to play....... If it would change to free to play it would kick WOW in the nuts and throw LOL out of the window........... MAKE IT FREE!!
@ImM0rTaLTeqNique I agree with ya. I will forever love this game, I think it's just amazing. But I've gotten bored with playing it. I don't play often anymore.
eve is not that hard if you decide what you want to become... its hard for the pvp players in the beginning. the easiest way in the beginning is to start basic quest and read them try to understand them it exist hinds in the first quest and easiest quest how to play also gives glimps how to grow. when I started many years ago I decided to build I spent years mining and doing quest and here I am love battling pvp but I have a strong ''education'' in eve:)
Eve online has so many ways to be played, Fanmbv31, if u wanna do pvp its best to be a part of a corp first, then there more experienced players will take u with them either to low sec or 0.0 systems, but u can do high sec warfare aswell, u simply pay concord to look away as u declare war upon another corp. Be aware tho, pvp seems easy but i tell you, its hard as shit.
Honestly EVE very noob friendly its not eve funny. However, no game is stupid friendly and being a noob and being stupid are two different things. All u have to do well in eve is: 1. Read some shit. 2. Use EFT 3. Go to battleclinic. Thats pretty much it lol
this game is1k times over more complex and complicated in every way then wow could ever hope to be, its also better in every way as well,1 server instead of hundreds so when theres 29k or more people on eve all at once ur not just effecting a few thousand your effecting all of them, expansions are free, oh and herp durp qqing morons dont last very long bc eve is just to hard for them it actually requires a bit of thinking to get anywhere or do anything, so how the hell is it anything like wow?
If it were free it would be no where near as good as it is now. The money you pay each month enables CCP to keep developing new things and makes sure CCP will always provide excellent support.
@NickTheHorrorMaster playing with stocks on the entirely player driven market, joining corporations and fighting over control of solar systems, you name it. But it's also hardcore, very hard to get into and with a steep learning curve. If you want, I can get you a 21 day free trial, just PM me but remember, the first several days you are gonna feel like a lamb lost in the woods :)
FrostbitexP Because if you really want to advance you pay money to do so. If you don't mind sticking with the basics you don't have to pay, but players who do will outclass you every time.
