Unless I'm crazy, I dont see sales tax in this tool. You'd want to knock 4.5% off the Total Revenue, which can drastically reduce your overall profits if you're selling out of Jita. You can go from a fair profit to losing money pretty quick if you use this tool without keeping taxes in mind.

Really good point and one I missed and nope you're not going crazy ;-). Nope the website doesnt take tax into account. Ill Pin this comment thanks for pointing this out

Taking advantage of T2 opportunities is difficult. If a market opportunity appears it often lasts only a few days before the prices tank again. During this time you will not have time to copy, invent and manufacture the items. By the time you are done, the prices will have dropped again. The thing is to build a library of T2 BPCs that you can use to take advantage of price swings.

I've been doing T2 for a decade, my two cents: a) Warehouse Containers are your friend. b) it's easy to get sucked into multi boxing characters. c) it's a secret... don't tell anybody what your system is, they just copy you and you'll both be unprofitable. d) almost nothing I do is like this video... neither of us wrong. e) try stuff, you'll only learn by trying stuff. I have so many ideas of new ways I could try to profit in manufacturing, I've just really run out of play time to keep adding on things to do.

Fantastic content! Came back after more than 10 years away from the game and have been having fun with industry. Couple of questions: You seem to be making use of upwell structures - what are your thoughts on asset safety inside upwells? Do you keep all your materials/ blueprints there permanently? When you have built a few hundred / thousand items, how do you put them on the market? Do you dump them all at once, or trickle them in slowly? How do you stay on top of competitors undercutting prices? Do you actively re-list your items to always be the cheapest or do you just leave them on the market to get sold eventually with time? Finally any thoughts on booster production? Been trying to get into this market and the margins seem razor thin! Cheers!

Perimeter does a bit of the profits. There are usually safeish systems 3-6 jumps away from Jita that nets 10-15% more. There are some types of items that are better made in Perimeter though.

Hello, I love your videos and just came back after a long Hiatus. Any who, I am getting started in manufacturing and I have a few questions. I see you are doing inventions for T2 BP's. Is this for creating actual originals or copies? And once you made that BP do you sell it in market or contracts or do you actually build the item itself? And do you invent the BP so you dont have to buy that same BP from contracts? Please let me know. Sorry for noob question and please keep up great work...
@MrMejIT
@MrMejIT Год назад
If you have an original blueprint the first stage is usually to improve the material efficiency through research at a station. The next stage is to make a copy (BPO). From that copy you can then invent the T2 item if you have the correct datacores. Decryptors may be used to increase the chance that your invention is successful. Players with expensive BPOs often make copies and sell on the contracts market. Sometimes they build t1 or t2 depends on time, material cost and market price effecting profit. Exception could be build to use in remote areas of New Eden with limited access to markets hubs. Hope this helps. :)

Invention still mystifies me and I worry I don't keep track of the costs right and am actually losing money. Also all the different decryptors leaves me confused. What's the best? Why so many types? Is it really bad to not use them?
@Taz6688
@Taz6688 2 года назад
Excellent theory crafting and on paper it works, there are at least 1184 other items shown and many more if you scrolled the screen down, so where will you place your items, you going to undercut, sell them in smaller item lots, so you can place another lot to still be the cheapest, and where does that stop, someone undercuts you, and you have several hundred still to sell. At least the 0.001 wars are not an issue, but constant undercutting in small lots is still an issue or was. I used to take items just out of the major trade hubs, even a system with a few moons to mine it was good business, then they nerf'd the moons and system which had close to a hundred people are now empty, those left service their own markets, since the moon mining nerf ice products are plentiful and fuel blocks not needed as much.

Hey Taz, ill place my order on the market and leave it to sell. 95% it sells so no chasing the markets. As long as the market isnt overly inflated them good times, just wait for the ISK to roll in.

If you are playing the long game it definitely works. I built about a bil worth of stuff 3 months and just yesterday that stuff started selling for over 20% profit. Some stuff sells faster, some sells slower, but as long as I have enough capital to fund my industry there should always be profit to be made.

Depends, I like more run BPC's as then I can set them running for more days/weeks. With a1x run you have to come back to it pretty soon and then set more going which can be a pain.

I still don't feel that invention is worth the gamble, I have found plenty of t1 items to manufacture for the 150k isk/h mark.
@TheodoreIchabod
@TheodoreIchabod 2 года назад
The main draw of T2 is that the demand is very consistent an would require a lot of characters to saturate the market. Many T1 items are far spottier. I still personally make plenty of T1 stuff (rigs can be pretty great). Also as you can see the odds of a successful invention you can work out how many tries you need to reach your desired volume, and over time you WILL reach that average, if you keep doing so.
@k1illagorilla
@k1illagorilla 2 года назад
@@TheodoreIchabod If I had a choice between the risk of t1 market being over saturated or losing isk and time from failed invention I will always pick the risk from t1 over saturation. My t1 items can simply sit and wait out the market, or even moved to a different region . With invention my isk is gone for good.
@TheodoreIchabod
@TheodoreIchabod 2 года назад
@@k1illagorilla Yeah that is fair enough. As long as you are willing to wait, amend orders or move goods during saturation (or have a wider set of available T1 BPOs than you can run at once for variety and to dodge oversupplied items) then you are good. Happy industry.
@ousooners5193
@ousooners5193 2 года назад
Sure, but the problem is you have to have huge volume and babysit the sell orders. Invention is absolutely not a "gamble" with volume production, especially when you optimize with decryptors.
@k1illagorilla
@k1illagorilla 2 года назад
@@ousooners5193 Absolutely not a 'gamble....' Lets see the spreadsheets then. The time and isk not wasted on failed invention. The decryptors give you a chance value much above 50% eh? Lets see where you are not spending weeks on an invention job and then have it fail. Lets see where you setup for 10 t2 autocannon bpc's and have more than 2 actually give a positive return.
