FYI - You don't have to click "Create Route" you can just double click the product, then double click where you want to route it to. Saves a LOT of time.

Yes, but be careful. I've had it double create the route before, and if not fixed, it will waste inputs.

Returning player from ten years ago. I recently realized I had Planetary Industry previously setup, but it seemed too complicated to ever figure out. This video got me back in business! Thank you so much. Well done.

Cool vid. I believe the reason you can only fit a certain amount of factories on certain planets is likely due to the planet radius. Larger planets will suck up more resources on those links - even if your links are very short.

For the great content you create I have chosen your 'recruit link' from the many we all see. Unlike many others. You have earned it. Thanks for the 1M SP and enjoy your rewards when you get them. P.S. Any of you that plan to buy omega or plex and haven't already taken the recruit offer, its a good way to help him out directly without having to pay some 'big corp' for the privilege. ;-)

I used your newer video experiment to make P0 to P2 on 4 planets and P3 robotics on #5. I am amazed at the results.

Thank you for this video! I'm getting into PI again slowly and this is very helpful. Also, "Chiral" is pronounced with a hard K like "kaiser" -- "kairal" if you will P.S. quick shortcut for creating a link is CTRL+click -- and for many of the operations like Install or Create Route, you should be able to double-click as well -- saves some mouse movement! :)

for your factory planet setup, i think you should use the launch pad as input and output it will save some CPU on each setup. I currently use this setup, 1 launch pad - 6 factory (depend on your skill) , each of my factory planet can hold 3 of this setup which mean i will have 30k m3 for both input and output, so i can input a large amount of ingredient in and dont need to return until ingredient is out. this will make PI less tedious since you dont need to return everyday

I almost didn't watch this because I watched one of your prior Planetary Industry videos, but I like the way you use 2 factory planets. I have 2 rooms with 5 planets each; the factory planets having 16 P2 factories and 4 P3 factories. I may switch my secondary toon to have the factory planet to be the P2, and make the P3 on my main's factory planet.

Is it worth converting t0 resources to t1 resources on the extractor planets in order to save volume, and fit more into the customs office / launchpad?
@aeroprime3322
@aeroprime3322 10 месяцев назад
You don't actually need to connect the command center to anything. Connecting everything to the launch pad works just fine.

Pretty solid explenation though on sisi, you forgot to explain the part that on live server, you should always be cloaked up within transport range of the Poco that way you can be "reletively safe when you are offloading and loading material, using scouts ect ect.

HEy nice video, thank you! I still have 1 question though: Do the factorie planets have to be barren/lave? Or can i use any, because i dont extract resourceses from them? If i can use any, then i could fit all 6 planets in 1 system, would be neat.

Good video, you can actually go to 1d 45m @ 15m cycles. I like that little bit of overlap in case I forget.

Nice video bro the only issue is that sometimes you don`t have the good configuration of planetes so you have to adapt to what you get

How much PI research is needed to be able to do what you're doing in the video? I've done no research in PI, curious how long it'd take or how much free sp it would take to do this.
@JAKEL33T
@JAKEL33T Год назад
Both Command Center I-V & Interplanetary Consolidation I-V are ~1,025,000sp each.
@Gazulith
@Gazulith Год назад
So a change from your previos PI video. It looks like you basically use the Command Center as the "Storage". Is there any real advantage to this? The reason I ask, I just set up 4 planets based on the old video :/
@daveisnothere
@daveisnothere Год назад
free storage doesnt cost CPU or PG.

Just so you know, High-Tech Facilities can only be placed on Barren or Temperate planets, The ability to place more on barren and temperate has probably just been a fluke, I have put 24 adv facilities on other planets, just not gas due to the diameter.

So, anyone know if planetary resources bubble back up to the surface eventually, or they just dry up forever and we have to keep doing this awful process over and over further and further away forever?

Good videos, am learning a lot but in hisec the taxs will kill you, it is possible to do robotics on a single factory planet dropping t1 and uplifting robotics. As i said hisec taxes will kill you. Love your mining series.
@JAKEL33T
@JAKEL33T Год назад
The issue with HS pi isn’t just the taxes but the low % of planet resources. You can just have 1 process planet just spite the 24 factories by 3. So 8 factory for each t2 and 8 for robotics. Just route them locally and import t1 into a launch pad as usual.
@shaymcquaid
@shaymcquaid Год назад
Please explain why you are routing from extractor to CC? CC hold is only 500m3, no? I route from extractor-LP-factory-same LP. I'm new to PI. thx
@JAKEL33T
@JAKEL33T Год назад
You can do either or if you use longer cycles use a storage facility. For me it’s negligible since raw won’t pile up to make it a problem considering I usually run 9-10 basic factories.

@@JAKEL33T Hey Jake, great setup. I just figured that I am indeed running out of space in the CC on one planet, my 10 factories are not able to keep up with the income. What do I do?

The hint on how much P0 you need to get P1 to its maximum was a really good hint. Thanks for that! How do you scale your own setup? Do you juse produce P2 on other characters to fill the P3 production requirements? Also to make sure my calculation is correct: to actually max out Robotics production with your suggested setup you will need 4 characters in total while all of them produce P2 with one character also producing P3, correct?
@JAKEL33T
@JAKEL33T Год назад
I just have alts make all the P1 and do the P2/P3 on the main
@sn0opyKS
@sn0opyKS Год назад
But don't you overproduce P1 then? You need 11520 P1 units to have your P2 production run 24/7. By having a 2nd character, you already produce more P1 than you need. for a 24/7 P3 production, you need 1728 P2 units. A single character can only produce 1440 P2 units in 24h. With the current single-character setup, I can produce around 300-800 P2 units.
@JAKEL33T
@JAKEL33T Год назад
If you over produce then make a alt for more production it’s better to have excess P1 then to not if the goal is 24/7 uptime
@JAKEL33T
@JAKEL33T Год назад
You can also make a 24 factory planet for each P2 on the production toon to use all the P1
