I like to use auto targeting missiles in the anomalies, because a relevant amount of time is wasted locking targets between waves. Orthruses with RLMLs and auto-targeting are my preferred ships for Refuges and Dens. The con is obviously reload time, when one load is not enough to clear the anomaly (which is the case for dens and the larger type of refuges). They are good enough for the 4/10s, but I would change ship for a 5/10 (Tengu... also, I should remember that, on the other hand, this is not allowed in 4/10 before doing 12 jumps... my typical mistake...). The nice thing with ATMs is that once You have aggro You can move to the next anomaly and open fire as soon as You are out of warp. Now, do that with three Orthruses+RLMLs+ATMs and anomalies become a firework show, something to behold! Aside for the other guy trying to lock something, when everything explodes before he finishes the lock-on timer... :P

You left the guristas vigil, the faction ship spawns in 4th wawe around 10 minutes in pocket 2. Jump gate to empty pocket is just alternative escalation trigger.

ohhh .... I thought maybe the Gila had killed all of them, so I should have stayed before jumping away?

@@Aceyface yes, guristas vigil has 4 minute delay in spawns after initial defenders. It's a race to the loot can when there's more than 1. Sweet T2 implant bpc possibly.

Put on some sensor boosters :) you can always switch them out when you do the escalations :)

Makes sense but to make it easier to scan sites fit some of those modules that give probe bonuses and just refit at a mobile depot. I’ve been doing null DEDs like this solo for a long time

What is your cap life with MWD off/offline? I usually run an afterburner and look for cap stability with all mods on. I want to use the onyx but I’m in blood raider territory lol

My cap isnt stable with the mwd on, but it is with it off. I use it to temporarily burn to important stuff if there are competitiros. Ya it isnt good for bloodraiders get the broadsword! Its amazing for blood raiders.

I would use standard ammo for those normal sites, save some ISK. Also, looks like 4 ballistic controls on your fit, which isn't going to net a lot of gain. Maybe a damage control or a power diagnostic, instead. Neat concept, otherwise, thanks for the video.

Thanks dude:D I just tried to get as much dps as possible since tank is really good. Maybe a missile enhancer could be better to apply to small stuff but damage control and power diagnostics imo isnt really necessary for the high sec stuff.

@@Aceyface Missile enhancement, yes, better application but the diagnostic will bump your shield boost rate slightly as well as upping the cap.

Long time ago I used to make good isk scanning down ore and combat sites, often finding a Daredevil bpc or a few faction mods, when starting out these were a massive boost to earnings. CCP in its wisdom made scanning so easy it ruined the game, instead of a highly skilled prober sought after to find stuff, every dog in the game saw sites as soon as the jumped in, you might find them quicker but you know someone is joining you soon as you start, depending on the site its a race to hit the jackpot.

Yea those faction npc's still spawn in certain missions to. I remember also getting faction webs and implants from them, but now they don't drop anything useful at all. Not sure when that changed.

Last time I was this early otela was still caldari space (legit when was this recorded? Otela is trig territory now, fell to final liminality in 25 hours)

I did find a small faction shield booster once in greens. Worth 30 mil.

Why not use the HAC variants like the Munin or Cerberus ?

Ive actually considered specifically those two. The reason is 1. HICs are much tankier, in this case the Onyx easily tanks the 5/10 without sacrificing dps. Also the HICs have utility highs for the core probe launcher, the cerb and munin will have to sacrifice damage for being able to use one.

I run quite a few but not all of them there are many bad ones not worth my time such as guristas watch, loot isnt so good.

I have done a huge amount of hideaways, refuges and dens. Unfortunately all the dens have given me are 5/10 DED sites in low sec, never have I ever seen one in hisec, so I have stopped doing them

Gila is good but the Onyx has its perks. It can easily tank Guristas 5/10 without sacrificing damage. It also has really long range (80km) using heavy missiles. Relying mostly on missiles is also nice when you dont have to think about drone travel time. But ofc gila has better overall dps and there is a reason why its so popular

Dude never run a refuges in a fit like that :))) what the hell. Take a Jackdaw, Orthos or edencom frigate with 1000 scaning resolution. I make escalation level 4 in caldari with a jackdaw destroyer so you dont need that monster for that. Minmatar it is the best space for escalation becouse there all escalation are level 5, so dont waste time for nothing.
