Genuinely surprised Gordon Mineo’s crash with the Eddie Hill tow vehicle was not included in any of these videos. Great work on all 3 installments regardless! I find myself coming back to rewatch them all the time.
First, I love these videos. I have been a drag racing fan for a long time. I grew up watching the Diamond P videos and pretty much memorized all of them. You have a lot of footage that I have never seen before. Where are you finding all of these gems? Second, you seem a lot younger than me. What made you interested in all of these old drag racing videos? I hardly know anyone interested in drag racing and most that are interested are even older than me. Third, thanks for putting these together. I hope you continue making them. I’m really enjoying your work.
Thank you for the nice comment, I'm currently 19 years old and why I'm so into drag racing is because of my dad. My dad recorded on VHS the first half of the 1989 NHRA Season and I watched those tapes many many times. On top of that, we had a few Jackson Brothers drag racing tapes, and Drag Racing '91. My dad also in the summer would take us to Wednesday night drag races in Portland, Oregon; I grew up loving the sport. Unfortunately, just over seven years ago, my father passed away. Now most of my footage is from RU-vid at one time or another. However, it's not a perfect collection. I'm hopeful that more from the 1978 and 1984 NHRA seasons get released. Sorry for the life story but there you go!
Calvin Walker I grew up going to P.I.R. And watching drag racing to , I live in Central OR now and really miss that track . May your Dad R.I.P. , lost my Dad a few years ago to , we both shared the love of cars . I think it’s awesome your into the Nostalgic side of drag racing , very cool 😎
Very few Men ever had the balls to get in Conrad's face when he became angry at the track, but ol' Buster didn't even flinch, he didn't back up, Hell, he even leaned into Connie! LOL 😂 I love Conrad, but you were barkin up the wrong tree when start yell'n at Big Buster Couch! 💪😉
