The golden desert eagle is a reference to the lost golden deagle hidden in the original mw2's files Edit: for all the people that did not understand what i said, if you look for the mw2's pc game files, you'll probably find a golden deagle. This is where the reference comes from

However, one cool detail is that if you use Green Beret on Cliffhanger, you get to use an icepick instead of a knife. And yes, it also comes with an inspect animation.

The teddybear with the golden Deagle was also a hidden easter egg in the multiplayer map «lockdown» from MW3. Where there was a giant teddybear with two golden desert eagles inside a building. Video can be found by searching for: «Mw3 giant teddybear with 2 gold desert eagle»

The Golden Desert Eagle could be a reference to Shepherd, if you go on the mission to kill him you hear him saying “Hunter Two-One this is Golden Eagle (etc...)”. Golden Desert Eagle in abbreviation would be Golden Eagle.

You either never played mw or paid attention. Its pretty simple you see mw2 takes place BEFORE mw3. So how could there be a news paper clipping from for an event that hasn't even Happen yet?? The gas attacks took place after the events of mw2. 2 comes before 3. Fake fans or just stupid?? Probably both

Without cutscenes, do a video where in 1 video on all missions, including the museum, you do Challenge. In the second, Funtime. And in the third video, you choose 1 of the visual effects.

I remember I heard a rumor about this in the old version, but I would’ve loved it if they actually had added it to the game. Imagine if you collected all 45 pieces of intel, there’s an option every time you play Loose Ends to play an alternate version where Ghost and Roach see what’s on the DSM and when Shepherd goes to shoot you, Ghost draws first and both you and him evac. Even if it wasn’t canon, that Easter Egg would’ve been amazing, and a great incentive.

Is the beginning when ur in the first mission at the military base if you decide to kill shepherd whilst he watching you it should show some secret dialong when you do shoot him. Instead of friendly fire will not be tolerated maybe something like "his time has not come yet", or like "hey finish the game first" to hint at him dying at the end as we all know

Dalek,i've found a little easter egg in loose ends (that were in the 2009 version too). While you defending the files,on a wall you can see a drawing of a "person" with sunglasses driving a truck with an image of a bomb with a skull on it (wich referes to a gas bomb). This is a reference of what happens in the mission named "davis family trail" in mw3,when that truck explode and relases a gas cloud

Many of the cheats could be "references" to CoD4 since most of them were there. Some aren't really new. I had some fun time with them back in the day in the original MW.

For the golden desert eagle on exodus you can pick up the other Deagle ammo in the room and have up to 20 rounds I did it When I found it the day of the game came out

If you ever wondered why old war footage is super fast like the rag time cheat, its because old video cameras in the early 1900s has there film cranked by hand so the frame rate is inconsistent. In a battle environment I assume people would get scared and crank the film at wildly different frame rates. Also because its hand cranked the films are estimated at about 3-4 frames per second so when you play that back on a modern screen it becomes super fast because it compresses 20 seconds filmed at 3 fps to 1 second at 60 fps to match the refresh rate of a screen

When you play in the pit (S.S.D.D mission) you can see Roach watching you (first room in the pit on the side where Shepard stand but more closely to the house you go in. Also the GRIGS poster is still in the level as you walk down the road where a burning car come down (same mission as the other poster easter egg)

In reference to the IW graffiti on the wall in Wolverines: Infiniti Ward wasn’t the main production company on the remaster, Beenox (another activision subsidiary) was. It’s probably a rivalry between the 2, and instead of letting the IW guys get to see their logo in the game, they basically told them to GFYS. They’re also based in Quebec City, where Poutine is apparently quite popular.

In the mission ssdd when you get to the pit you're gonna see a chalk board with Foley Dunn and ramirez names on it and it gas Allen as well and next to their names are their pit time trail how long they took to run the pit.

golden desert eagle was in the originals files but never came out cause of development issues in multiplayer. it's possible to get it in the OG multiplayer with a modded console

The cheats are also referencing the intel cheats that were in the original COD4. Loved using them in COD4 and always wished we could use them in MW2. Now we can!

In the original 'No Russian' mission in the same room that you can find the mw2 cover art that didn't make it like in the mw2r, instead of the mw2 cover art it's actually the first cover art for the first modern warfare (cod4mw)

I noticed that they even kept the W1200 that a soldier in a museum exhibit was holding in the original. The W1200 was a cod4 shotgun that doesn't appear anywhere else in the MW2 campaign or multiplayer that one random dude in the museum was holding.

theres an easter egg on the ssdd via a glitch spot, you can see the picture at the very end of cod 4 with gaz, price and the other two guys, its to the direct left of the starting area where you do target practice behind the guy on the computer
