As Ghost asks Captain Price for backup, a familiar face returns to fight the evil that has invaded Verdansk. Much like many new Operators who are just joining the biggest battle in Call of Duty history, he is regrouping with the Operators of Armistice to turn the tide of this ongoing conflict. That Operator is Alex, and he joins the ongoing battle in Verdansk in the latest update to Modern Warfare, including Warzone, in Season Three. After selflessly - and supposedly - sacrificing his own life to destroy the toxic gas factory by manually triggering explosives. Somehow, Alex escaped General Roman D. Barkov’s chemical facility and remained in hiding until Price needed him to come back into the fray... "Alex" managed to survive the explosion but did not walk away unscathed, losing his left leg and having it replaced with a prosthetic. Charged with desertion after defying his orders, "Alex" remained in hiding until Price needed him to come back. Now part of the Warcom unit of the Coalition, "Alex", accompanied by Charly and Talon, was sent by Price to a Classified location in order to assist Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley as the situation in Verdansk was turning into chaos.

Dude, Ghost and Simon Riley are the same person. Price just calls him Simon because they are close. And if you look at subtitles, Price definitely says "Simon" not "soap" at the start of the cutscene.

That's further reinforced in the Remastered version, where you can see the Russian soldiers kicking aside the weapon you had equipped at the moment Makarov shot you, lifting up your arm, and then dropping it limply back to the ground before moving past your view to continue searching. This is a common military and police procedure in the real world...

If Alex is not a new character and is someone from the original cod, I think a good character he could be placed as is Roach. In the video, he talks about how they have similarities and a bond. Well, in Loose Ends, Ghost specifically asks Price if he can hit the hideout with Roach, showing they have a special bond. Also, since Roach had no speaking lines or story, any “new” male character could be Roach. I don’t think he is Sandman seeing as how loyal Sandman is to his flag, while Alex wants to break away and be free.

Here’s my personal theory. When him and Farrah were arguing on who should detonate the explosives and who should kill Barkov. Alex is holding Hadirs Sniper Rifle. He starts the chain reaction by shooting the first explosive and barely makes it out without his leg. In the Season 3 cinematic he’s holding the same sniper rifle he detonated the explosives with

Alex also changed his hairstyle and colour from a sort of blond (in my eyes) with spiked hair and a upwards hooked moustache to a dark brown with a more reserved hairstyle and a goatee. Sometimes it's small details like those mixed with a new name that can hide you from everyone you knew before.

I feel like there are still a few twists and turns left in this story. I mean, we already know Zakhaev will be in the next game and it can be expected that we may get a hint at Makarov. I think it's already pretty obvious that Hadir is Khaled Al-Asad. I feel like Alex could be someone we know but maybe it'll be someone out of the ordinary.

In the Highway campaign mission, Farah tells Alex that her father used to call Hadir 'shabal' or "little lion" Khaled Al-Asad literally translates to "The Immortal Lion" and Laswell tells Price in the final scene that Zakhaev is a "huge fan of Hadir's". It almost 100% gonna be that Hadir was busted out of prison by Zakhaev and changed his name to Khaled Al-Asad. Al-Qatala will be led by Hadir as Al-Asad because Zakhaev will promise him revenge on the Russian military. I can honestly see a situation where the events of CoD4 play out with a nuke being dropped and Price finds Al-Asad (Hadir) and begins interrogating him and he'll try to explain how it wasn't him and that it was "Zakhaev's right hand man" I don't feel like he'll know who Makarov is and Price will just get frustrated and the phone call will happen and Zakhaev will be like "Good job detonating the nuke" to make it look like Hadir is messing with Price, so Price will get so frustrated he'll just execute him and that's when the main villain will switch from Al-Asad to Zakhaev like it did in CoD4.

Here’s a thought... Alex could actually be one of the Hesh brothers from COD Ghosts, it would explain his “deep cover asset” backstory, his “gang tattoo” (Ghost face) on the underside of his left arm (happens to be the exact same as Simon Riley’s underside tat. Oh and also, Riley (COD Ghosts Dog) is now in the game. Makes enough sense to be plausible. Plus, we literally NEVER got an answer to that incredible cliff hanger that was the end of COD Ghosts’ Campaign. You literally dome rock the main bad guy with a .44 while falling a good 100-200 ft inside of a monorail car that you called an air strike on only for that same bad guy to come drag your ass away while your maimed brother is screaming for help.

I think Alex’s real name is Joseph Allen. Toward the end of the video, you said Alex could be a character from the older Modern Warfare games. It came to my mind that in Modern Warfare 2, that we learn Private First Class Joseph Allen is a CIA agent with Sgt. Foley’s squad in the 75th Ranger Regiment. I think Allen is Alex because we don’t know his last name and Allen was a part of the CIA. That is just a theory of mine, but what do you think, Dalek?
