I just got a tomei exhaust for my 2016 ecoboost and my cousin has been mentioning on getting a blowout valve to make the turbo sound louder and my god does it sounds great, hoping to get one soon.
Aye bro no hate but as a fellow ecoboost owner you gotta fix that exhaust sound. It sounds like a Honda with a broken muffler but the blow off sounds fire
I kept the stock mufflers on my 18 eco bc I hate the sound of the engine. Mine has all turbo sounds. Not the blow of needs some whistle to it imo. Mine sounds like big rig air brakes.
I got the bumper from 777Perfomance and had it painted at my local paint shop. For exhaust I asked a muffler shop to straight pipe it. They removed the muffler and resonator but kept the catalytic converter on.
Dub video, earned a sub, just bought my first car 2023 eco boost mustang I’m new to learning about cars but eagerly want to learn, what does this do? Makes it louder? Are there any cons bro?
It’s a blow off valve. The turbo spools up air and build pressure for the engine to go faster and when you take your foot off the gas pedal the blow off valve helps release that pressure to prevent damage to the engine. Turbo cars already from with one from the factory but they don’t equip them with ones that make the car psshhhhhhh sound because the average buyer wouldn’t like that. The one in the video basically does the same thing as the stock one but also release’s some of the air into the atmosphere.
